Two weeks had passed since the demon slayers have been put into rehabilitation training. Inosuke was still bed-ridden, as well as Zenitsu, but Y/N and Tanjiro were up and running.

They had almost completley healed from their injuries, but under strict guidance from Shinobu's assistants: Aoi Kanzaki, Sumi Nakahara, Kiyo Terauchi, Naho Takada, and the occasional sparring with a goregous (at least in Y/N's opinion), demon slayer, Kanao Tsuyuri,

the two hadn't even strained a muscle.

Currently, it was around 8am in the morning, the sun had just risen a couple of minutes ago, and Tanjiro and Y/N had just finished their workout.

Both of them collectively decided it was easier to do things together rather than alone... though Y/N couldn't help but notice how increasingly flustered she was around Tanjiro.

It bothered her.

"G-- Good job." Y/N wheezed out, placing her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath as she stuck a hand out for a high five to Tanjiro.

To her amusement, he had not known what a high five was before she taught him. Now it was a daily occurance, it served as a sort of... motivation, for the two of them.

"Thanks y--you too." He replied choppily, sending a wobbly smile as his hand met hers.

The two parted to get properly dressed for the day.

Y/N entered a different comparment of the estate, one reserved for showers. She gently stripped of her clothes, dragging a huge bucket of lukewarm water and lathering her body with soap.
After she was done, while drying, she couldn't help but examine the light scar that was left on her shoulder, from Sanemi.

Y/N did this everytime she saw her body, she thought that eventually she would get used to it, but, for some reason, it felt as forgien as the first day she saw it.

Slipping on her freshly washed garments and making her hair, Y/N walked down the hallways that were now buzzling with life.

"Naho! Make sure to check in on the patients in room 53!" Aoi shouted while jogging down the halls, carrying a tower of folded, white, laundry.

"Y-Yes ma'am!"

"Oh and Sumi! Put the other load of laundry in the wash!"

"Okay!"

Aoi was so caught up in her work that she ran straight into Y/N.
Y/N softly smiled, she noticed Aoi coming from a mile away. With one swift motion she balanced the clothes that were about to fall onto the wooden floor, presenting them to Aoi.

"Please, let me know if there's anything I can do to help." She said calmly. Aoi was touched by her remark, but didn't show it one bit as her tone was as neutral as ever.

"Get yourself better first. That's more than enough." She said, taking the clothes and sprinting off.

Y/N chuckled to herself, shaking her head.

Ah, what precious people are here..

Y/N turned the corner, about to enter the room where food was usually almost always freshly made for hungry people, but she was stopped by Shinobu.

Her hair was as silky as ever, and her voice and eyes always contridicted itself.

"Y/N. Good morning." Shinobu said with a closed eye smile.

Y/N once used to feel irritation at Shinobu everytime she crossed paths with her, but once she realized herself that she was the one providing treatment for her and her friends? That feeling instantly went away.
But that didn't mean she ever felt at peace with Shinobu, something always told her that she was hiding something.
