"No. Freaking. Way." I shook my head.
"Yes way, you said you wanted to fit in and what better way to fit in than become a new woman; young, wild and free."
"I didn't understand any of that, you just said pretty much everything I'm not." Oh my god monther, you are driving me crazy.
"That's my point, for once in your life; let your hair down and take the leap of faith, one day you go through transformation and the next you arrive to school with a new indentity."
"You've got it all planned haven't you?"
"Yep."
"Do I get a say in this happening?"
"Nope."
I sighed, I knew she'd soon be on th phone to Vanessa and Cassandra arranging everything for the weekend. I'm not great dealing with change, especially one as huge as this.
"What do you think?" She asked me again after giving me some thinking time.
I sighed before nodding. "Let's do it." What's the worst that can happen? Or more importantly, what will my dad think? I guess I'll just have to find out.
I stayed over my mom's chatting until it was nearly the end of the school day, I ran upstairs and grabbed my skateboard before kissing my mom on the cheek and say goodbye; rushing out the door and down the street. I didn't arrive at my home destination for nearly an hour, suprise, surprise my dad was nowhere to be found. I sighed and pulled a page out of my notepad and scribbled down a message;
Dear dad,
I've gone over to the other house, I just feel like I need a change and need a little alone time to catch up on some school work, don't panic. I'm not behind or anything, I just decided to improve some of my old homework.
Love,
Christina x
It was getting darker now and just be sure I'd be safe, I called a cab and got them to drop me off instead.
"That will be $20 please" The female driver said.
"Here's thirty dollars, keep the change." I smiled weakly and passed the money over.
"Thank you and have a good night." She said.
"You too." I turned around and walked up to the house, pulling the key out of my pocket and unlocking it, as I stepped inside; an awful smell jumped out and smacked me in the nose.
"That smells like burning." I muttered to myself, scanning the kitchen, the bathroom, the dining room, the living room, dad's study and then my own room. If it's not coming from any of those rooms, then where is it coming from? I thought to myself, there was only one place I hadn't checked; dad's room.
I walked up to the door and pushed it open slightly to reveal my dad and some blonde bitch....making out?! Ewww! I turned away and rushed into my room. if I just pretend I did not witness that then everything will be fine.
I switched on my macbook and opened up a tab with 8Tracks and continue to listen to one of my favourite playlist; and Firestone by Kygo came up.
I hummed along to the lyrics, trying to be as quiet as possible as I could before opening up my notebook and beginning my English Essay.
A Short Review of Paper Towns
I found the ending very fitting for the book. It was sad, but not expected. All of John Green's books have made me think more about even the simplest things - and this isn't an exception. Paper towns is by far one of my favourite books of all time and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes books with a hint of mystery, romance and humour. There, suck on that Ms Sally!
Ms Sally is my literature teacher and that stultus bitch has it out for me. To make up for her lack of effort into classroom, discipline and assisting her students to develop knowledge that commits to their grades she focuses in drinking on the job and picking on particular individual students who have the highest grades and the ones with extraordinary IQ that is identical to someone twice their age.
Me.
Stultus is Latin for stupid by the way, Latin is the only one of the multiple languages I am fluent in, I remember everything I read, I guess that's how I got so smart, being the weird kid in the forner age six reading the teachers encyclopaedia.
I wasn't a loner or anything, Nessa and Cass (Vanessa and Cassandra) were right next to me and they were also reading, though I struggle to decide who was the weirdest of all three of us considering they were reading a teen gossip magazine that they stole from Nessa's older sister, Veronica.
Don't ever ask any parent why they chose their kids names. If they are anything like Nessa's you get a lecture about how they were planning names as soon as they were pregnant.
Looking at the possible scenarios if it's a girl or a boy or two girls or two boys or a boy and a girl, trust me, if your time is valuable, just don't over mention it, they went on forever and forever!
At half five, I heard the front door shut.
(a/n why not make the chapters a bit longer? so here it is. sorry for the lack of updates) (pls vote) (kidding, its up to u eh)
