Almost three weeks had passed since Rafe found out the news about Iris, and truthfully, he was doing better than he imagined.

He kept reminding himself that he had a guardian Angel with him at all times. Plus, he kept a picture of her in his wallet now so she truly was always with him.

Ward had went south once again. He had a severe infection of some sort, and was practically in a coma, so, Rafe had to really step up even further.

He sat at his dads bedside, "Heard you're getting better, but you're not 100%. Don't worry, I've got everything under control. Uh, I've almost got the new papers ready, the passports, bank accounts, yeah. I got this. I got it all planned out, dad." He pained, "Not Rose. She doesn't know what the hell she's doing. By the way, I'm dealing with the cross. You'll see for yourself once you're better."

And Rafe went on with his business as usual, having clients coming to the house constantly to see the cross itself.

"Again, thank you both for coming. I know it was a long way to travel, but I think what we have is pretty worthwhile." He said with a smile as he and Rose sat across from the two interested buyers.

"Yes, well, Michel is the most prominent antiquities dealer of the West Indies. Sadly, he only speaks French." The woman explained as Rafe nodded.

"What is, uh, French for priceless? Cause that's what we've got." He smiled again as he led them to the cross, unveiling it as their jaws dropped.

Michel examined it, speaking in French as the woman translated for him, "May he touch it?"

"Knock yourself out, Michel."

They watched as Michel walked around the cross, examining each and every bit of it. He cross referenced the picture he had of the Cross on his iPad before turning back to Rafe.

"He wants to know where you found it."

"Don't worry about it. We got it. That's all he needs to know." Rafe paused, "It's here. It's for sale. So, who can we get to buy it?"

"For a piece like this of this value, there are very limited buyers. Um, something like an institution or a museum." The woman paused as she waited for Michel to continue speaking so she could translate, "But he has a client in Barbados who will be interested. This client will have tons of questions and will want to meet with you in person."

Michel handed Rafe a business card for the client.

"Call the number on the card to arrange everything."

"You, uh, phone?" Michel asked Rafe.

"Yes."

"Very important."

Rafe nodded, "Very important. Very good. Let's make a deal?"

The two shook hands as Michel copied his words, "Let's make a deal."
