"Shin Ryujin did you just-" Emma glared at Ryujin and abruptly stopped speaking as soon as she saw Jake and Jay on the doorway.
All Sunghoon felt was numbness. Somehow, he was convinced that he was destined to be bullied again. First it was Jungwon, now it's his cousin. Maybe... he started hating himself. Maybe... he thought the problem is him. He crouched down as he started picking the trash up that was dumped down on him. Before Ni-ki and Sunoo could stop him, he felt a hand stopping him from picking up another rolled piece of paper.
Sunghoon looked up to see Jungwon holding his hand and staring at him worriedly. That for some reason hurt his heart a bit more. He felt Jungwon was changed, but he hated Jungwon for whatever he did to him.
Sunghoon stood up as he yanked his hand out of Jungwon's. Not being able to stop his tears, he tried to get out of the door, which was blocked by Jake and Jay.
Jake felt a burn in his heart as soon as he saw Sunghoon picking the trash up. He took a step to go to Sunghoon and apologise but was stopped when he saw Jungwon angrily making his way towards the boy. But Sunghoon yanked his hand away, and now they were face to face.
Jake....for fuck's sake apologise!!!
Jake looked into his teary eyes, he felt the instant guilt. He realized he couldn't look into Sunghoon's eyes. He still tried to apologise.
"Su-Sunghoon I-" But before he could say anything, all Sunghoon did was to push him out of the doorway and run towards the open grounds of the school, with his friends following him.
Jake messed up.
"I shouldn't see anyone bullying any student from now on, or we'll take strict action." Jake said as he looked at the class.
"But Jake you said not to interact with-" Emma said as she got cut off.
"So you started bullying him? Who the fuck told you all to spread rumours and bully them?" Jake yelled as he brushed his hair back, lowkey intimidating everyone present there, including Jungwon. ----------------------------------------------------------
Sunghoon ran as fast as he could until he reached to the corner of the university ground where hardly anyone used to come.
"He's gay... and he dared to confess to Yang Jungwon." A girl gasped as her friend said in disgust.
"Seriously, how dare that disgusting punk actually even expect that Jungwon would like someone like him?!" She replied.
Sunghoon. He was heartbroken. He was getting bullied left and right for being gay and for confessing to Yang Jungwon. Each day, he cursed himself for why he confessed. Students used to call him slurs, call him ugly, beat him, making him hate himself. They made Sunghoon feel like he was doing a crime, just by existing. And Jungwon? He didn't use to care. Sometimes he would stop the students, but they would not care at all.
He tried to talk to Eric but he used to behave like they were strangers. Sometimes he would catch Eric laughing along with the bullies. Oh.. probably he told them about how he hates being in crowds and then maybe that's why they used to bully him when the hallways were full of students.
"Hoon?" Sunghoon snapped out of his thoughts as he found himself crouching down, his tears still going one non stop. He saw Sunoo following Ni-ki, panting, they stopped and sighed in relief when they saw him.
"Why are you guys doing this?" Sunghoon asked as he looked down.
"Doing what?" Sunoo asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Just... caring for me. I don't want you guys to care for me." Sunghoon said, without looking at the boys.
"Sungie what are you-" Ni-ki approached him but stopped when Sunghoon suddenly yelled at him.
"BECAUSE I'M SCARED! I AM ATTACHED TO YOU GUYS AND MEETING YOU BOTH WAS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN LIFE! I'm scared....that you'll leave me....just like everyone does." He mumbled the last part but it was loud enough for Ni-ki and Sunoo to hear.
"Hoon do you not realize how much you mean to us? It was you who came running to my place when I had no one. It was you who gave me a place to stay. It was you who made Ni-ki feel comfortable in this foreign country. It's not only us who cares about you, you care about us too! And we would never want to lose a friend like you because we want to show you how much we love you, because you never actually got the happiness that you deserve." Sunoo said as Ni-ki hugged Sunghoon very tightly. And now, well the three of them were crying. ----------------------------------------------------------
"How do you know Sunghoon?" Jake finally asked Jungwon, who glared at his cousin.
"Why do you ever care? Was it fun? Bullying him for absolutely no reason? What did he even do to you Sim Jaeyun?" Jungwon asked as Jake stood there, controlling his anger, forming a punch but almost not throwing it.
"Question for a question? That's not fair." Jake replied as he turned back.
"Why? Are you guilty?" Jungwon said as he stopped as soon as Jake asked him something that he never expected him to.
"Why? Do you like him?"
"What if I said yes? What will you do, Sim?" ----------------------------------------------------------
Sunghoon half-heartedly reached the convenience store for his part time job as he saw some customers demanding for refund after dropping the juice bottle by themselves.
"Sorry sir, I saw you dropping it after purchasing so I'm afraid I can't refund-"
"I know people like you very well. You would sell damaged things and steal our money just like this." The man said as he slammed the table hard, scaring Lia.
"Excuse me sir, whatever happened, is being recorded on the CCTV and you can really be charged fine for misbehaving like this. If you don't want any more loss, I would suggest you to stop asking for a refund for YOUR mistake." Sunghoon said.
But the man got angrier as he grabbed Sunghoon's collar and was going to hit him but someone pushed him off of him and threw a punch at his face.
