THE SNEAKING HUNCH
The morning came, and he was very worried for Rhian when she found out about his own plans. That night passed, and he couldnʼt even properly explain to her why he did it and kept it secret from her.
Certainly, he was aware that he had a sneaking hunch that Rhian might be the serial killer, but if that were the case, he would comprehend the circumstances surrounding the crime. He just bowed while sitting on the bed; he got up to leave the room and at least knock on Rhianʼs door in her room to apologize in person. “I want to talk to you in depth, is it possible?”
He looked inside the room, but he didnʼt see anyone inside. When he finally got inside, he looked at every corner of it, and still nothing had changed since it became Rhianʼs room.
The furnishings are fine, the interior is very clean, and the bed surface is also fine. He approached her and opened the bottom of the pillow as well as her bedsheets, but he didnʼt find anything belonging to Rhian. He rushed into the bathroom, pero hindi niya talaga mahanap si Rhian. His brow furrowed; it was impossible for Rhian to suddenly disappear from there. He just sighed, got out of there, and went down to the living room. He looked in the kitchen and in the living area, but he was the only one living here like before; there was no one with him but only him.
He ran back to his room and picked up his phone to dial Rhianʼs number, but he was shocked when it rang, pero pinatayan lang siya nito. He tried again, but said he couldnʼt be reached when he heard the operator speak. He thought carefully. Just last night, they had a misunderstanding again, but he knew it was worse than when they first met. For sure, Rhian ran away from his rest house and believed what she said—they should be in their own ways.
When she left the manʼs room, she hurriedly walked inside the room where she was staying.Around four oʼclock in the morning, she packed his things. Her personal belongings were placed in her backpack, but she placed her gun under her jacket.
She opened the bedroom door and slowly walked down the hallway, but stopped when she remembered Vahn again. She knew that she owed a lot to the man for allowing her to stay in this rest house, but they had to be in their own ways.
When he got there, he didnʼt even talk to Rhian, because when Rhian arrived, she immediately told the guard that no one would be allowed inside and that she wasnʼt accepting visitors.
Vahn did nothing but leave. Around six in the afternoon, he went through the village to Rhianʼs house again, but he didnʼt show himself to the guard; he didnʼt come right in front of the gate. From a distance, he just observed Rhianʼs big house. He noticed that there was someone looking at the terrace of a room and frowned when he saw that it was Rhian, but he didnʼt show, and he didnʼt know if the girl could see him or not.
He wasnʼt at the front gate; thatʼs why he saw it on the right side of the house; thatʼs where he was on standby because there were no streetlights and only the one in front of the gate had lights; the rest were dark, and almost nothing could be seen if the beam light of the car was off.
