The waxing gibbous phase is between a half moon and full moon. Waxing means it is getting bigger. Full: We can see the Moon completely illuminated during full moons. Waning Gibbous: The waning gibbous phase is between a full moon and a half moon. Luna never experienced this one in her life before because when she was in the village she was held captive in her home door boarded up and no windows. Niki also never seen it because she was forced to stay inside curtains closed and door locked and was never allowed to leave her home.
