it was finally time.

well, not really finally, since you're not really sure if this was the right decision to make, because you will see him again. and you will need to actually do something instead of lying in bed in your free time.

but it's time to head to the gym and be there as the manager of the team with your amazing friends, and some other dudes, and someone you dislike.

sounds fun, doesn't it?

"remember, we are the managers. the guys just have to listen to us!" riley exclaims, nodding to herself. "ha, that means suna has to listen to me too."

"right," kaiya answers, looking into the distance. "i really wonder why we did this."

"we are stupid," you say, rolling your eyes at yourself. you're really stupid, that is one thing. this surely wasn't a good idea.

"and remember that we are here for you so if stupid stuff happens, we'll kick asses."

"we? more like you. i'm not gonna do that," kaiya answers riley, frowning. "you can kick them, you're sporty or something."

"absolutely am not?"

you sigh, "i'm already regretting this. first we have our stupid friends that will annoy us, we also have kageyama in the team, and we have haruko that's gonna watch every damn practice."

"don't forget the fangirls and the partners of everyone in the team," kaiya mumbles, thinking about all the suna fangirls.

she doesn't like them one bit.

maybe she's a little jealous, but she's not gonna tell that to anybody.

"what were we gonna do again? do they even have a coach?" riley asks, opening the doors to the building where the gym is located at. she holds the door open so you and kaiya can walk in as well.

"they do, but he's new and he said he needed help with that," kaiya answers. "so y/n will do that."

"what, me?" you ask with a frown. "why me?"

"because you know the players! you are the best at making sure everyone is at the right position, who else should do it?"

"riley, because she's good at coming up with tactics and such?"

"i'm just here for the planning dude," kaiya mumbles to the two of you, shrugging. "y/n is good at cheering on and making sure the players are at their best potential."

"okay fine," you mumble. "so i'm there to make sure everyone feels wanted? to make sure they do what they can and to get the best out of them?" you ask, to which kaiya nods. "and you, kaiya, will do all the planning? making sure we have all we need, have jerseys, supporters?"

"sure am!" she says, nodding. "i'll do the photography and the posters on the side too."

"that leaves riley to help the coach with positions and where everyone will be the best."

"sure thing," riley says with a nod. "good we got that figured out. would've been a hot mess if we just went there randomly."

"true," kaiya answers with a laugh.

the three of you are now standing in front of the entrance of the gym. you change into your gym shoes, and then you guys open the door to walk in.

that's when many heads shoot towards the door. all guys were already playing volleyball, waiting until the new managers would come.

they've heard a lot of good things about you three from atsumu and kaykay, and even suna and osamu. and if those last two say something good, they know it's serious.

"there they are!" atsumu says with a smile, putting his hands on his hips to see you three walk in. "they're so hot, look at them."

"i'd rather not refer to my sister as hot, atsumu," suna says, walking away from his friend to throw the ball back into the cart. "let's meet up in the middle so they can introduce themselves."

after all the guys have gathered in the middle of the court, the the coach walks towards all of you.

"welcome to our new managers! please introduce yourselves."

"i'm riley," she starts, looking at everyone. "i am a science major student. i will be responsible for helping out the coach, all about positions and stuff and making sure we will win."

"i'm kaiya, i am a photography student. i will be responsible for the planning and that everything will work smoothly. whenever there's a match, i'll fix everything for that."

then they all look at you. "and i'm y/n, a film production student. i will make sure all of you are at your full potential, and that we'll win. i'm going to help everyone find their strengths and keep those."

your eyes meet kageyama's. you and him look at each other for a short moment before you look away.

it doesn't do anything to you.

he's just a player.

and nothing more.
