Mark brought Donghyuck in the U base, everyone stopping to stare at the Dream leader carrying a beautiful male on his back.
Like he always did, Mark ignored the questioning stares and took his soulmate to the doctor's lab. The locations of rooms were different from their Dream base but all had the same idea.
It was like deja vu when Kun, Taeil, and Chenle saw Mark bring in his soulmate again.
"Again? Mark, seriously?" Kun deadpanned, fixing the way the young male lied on the hospital bed.
"Fuck, off. You don't even know what happened," Mark retorted with a snap, removing Donghyuck's shoes and socks. "He hurt one of his ankles."
"Well i can see that," Kun sarcastically said, Donghyuck's left ankle having visible reddish purple bruising around it.
"Alright. Alright. Enough. We're part of a Mafia so people are bound to get hurt. Leave Mark alone," Taeil butted in as Kun rolled his eyes, picking up Donghyuck's left legs to examine his swollen ankle.
"I'll grab the warm compressions and ice pack," Chenle called out, flashing an assuring smile to his leader.
"We'll keep him here until the swelling goes down and then we'll call you when you can see him, " Taeil smiled kindly as Mark scoffed.
"Why cant i stay with him?"
"Don't you have a late mission to go on?" Taeil asked as Mark shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't have one right now s-"
"Boss!" The youngest member of the mafia jogged inside. "Taeyong Hyung wants to see You at his office right now."
"For the love of god," Mark mumbled with a grumble as he stomped out of the room to Taeyong's office.
He walked down the corridor of the mansion that had expensive paintings hung on the walls to reach Taeyong's office, a very large room with a huge meeting table in it and his desk at the very end of the wall.
Pushing the door open without knocking, Mark barged in as Taeyong was seated at his desk with his eyes resting closed and his arms crossed over his chest. Sensing Mark's presence, he opened his eyes.
Mark made his way to stand in front of Taeyong's desk with his arms down by his sides, "You asked to see me?" He forced out with the blank stoic expression.
"Where's your manners?" Taeyong raised a brow as Mark scoffed.
"Where's my mother?"
Taeyong was silent as Mark forced a fake smile.
"Exactly, dead."
Mark glared into his older brother's eyes, boring holes into them and imagining violent scenario in his head. There was always a tension surrounding the two ever since their mother died and Mark had a hatred for both Taeyong and his father.
Taeyong grunted after clearing his throat and began nagging at Mark. "Do you realize you killed someone without a thought that they could be a potential suspect?"
"Oh my god. Is this what this is about?" Mark groaned. "He hurt my soulmate! And whoever touches my soulmate violently deserves to die."
"You're risking your identity, the possibility of being exposed, for that soulmate of yours who doesn't even care about you," Taeyong argued. "You're putting the gang in danger!"
"You don't know anything! Don't talk as if you know anything about my soulmate. Our mafia lives off danger and who the hell cares about that guy?!" Mark slammed his hand on the desk in front of him.
