Chapter 80

*3 Months later*

I wake up and flutter my eyes open. I smile at the sight of Neteyam lying peacefully next to me. Life feels so perfect right now. The last 3 months have flew by. I spent a lot of time recovering from my wound, because of me being pregnant I had to take my time because any complications could hurt the baby. I started of by just sitting up and the whole first few weeks were boring, I was stuck in the hut all the time. Then I managed to stand up and take a few steps, everything you do comes from the core of your body, your stomach so any movement was sore for quite some time. In the third month roughly I started to be able to be more active and have been on a few walks round the island, accompanied, and now i'm all healed practically.

Neteyam starts to stir under me and opens his eyes and they soften as he looks at me. He smiles and kisses my head and says "Morning ma y/n"

I snuggle in closer and smile.

"What shall we do today?" Neteyam asks me.

"I want to swim" I smile. I haven't been able to swim while recovering due to my stitches and the stress it could cause on my body so i'm aching to get back in the water.

"Anything for you my love, don't forget Norm is coming today though" he says.

"Oh yeah, I forgot" I giggle.

He chuckles too and bring me in closer. I'm 4 and a half months pregnant now and I've got an adorable bump growing. Norm told us the baby is the size of a yovo fruit now which Neteyam explained is a fruit that grows in the forest where he grew up. It's about the size of your fist. Pregnancy is crazy, like how am I growing a na'vi In my belly right now.

"How are my girls doing?" he asks holding my belly.

"Oh you think it's a girl now do you?" I laugh.

"Yeah, i've changed my mind" he laughs.

"Are we still happy to not find out the gender until they're born?" I ask him making sure for the 100000th time.

"Yes my love" he smiles and kisses me.

We have two names picked out and when I give birth Neteyam is going to tell me if we have a girl or a boy by saying their name. I can't wait.

"We cant wait to meet you little one" I say to my belly and Neteyam places a hand on mine which is on my belly.

He smiles then we feel something move under my hand.

"Did you feel that?" I ask shocked.

"No?" he says confused so I move my hand from under his and place it on my belly, we wait a few seconds then it happens again.

"What is that?" he asks worried.

"Is something wrong?" he says.

"Ermmm I don't know, it's never happened before" I say a bit panicked.

"Lets go" he rushes up and basically drags me out the hut. He drags me all the way to his family hut and when w get there Jake and Neytiri as well as Kiri, Lo'ak and Tuk are there.

"Mother, we think something wrong with the baby" Neteyam says and they all shoot up.

"What is it my son?" Neytiri asks worried.

"Look" he says and places her hand on my stomach.

Nothing happens at first then it happens again. We both look at her and she starst to smile which then turns into a giggle. We look at her confused and the others are still worried.

"My boy, that is your baby kicking, they are just moving" she laughs.

"They've never done that before?" I say holding my belly.

"The bigger they get the more they move, Neteyam was a very wriggly baby" she smiles and holds my belly again as the baby kicks.

Tuk is standing there watching intensely.

"You want to feel?" I ask her.

She smiles and nods then puts a hand on my belly. We wait then they kick and Tuk flashes a huge smile.

"I feel it! Mama, I feel them!" she says excitedly.

"Do you mind?" Jake asks singling to my stomach and I nod happily. He places a hand on my stomach and smiles when he feels the baby move.

"My first grandchild" he smiles.

"My turn!" Kiri skips over and feels and smiles as they kick.

"What a beautiful gift, you guys have truly been blessed" she says in awe.

I look round and Lo'ak is the only one now who hasn't felt, he stands there awkwardly.

"Come on I know you want to" I laugh.

"Ermmmm" he says unsure as he walks over.

"Come on skxawnd" I say and grab his hand then place it on my stomach. The baby kicks hard and Lo'ak's eyes widen.

"Your mom beats me up as it is when we train, don't you start" he jokes and we all laugh.

"FYI, i'll be your favourite" he says to my belly. I laugh and shake my head then me and Neteyam head out for a walk.

We head to the beach and after a short walk Neteyam says "you wanna swim then?"

I nod my head viciously and he laughs.

"Lets take it easy for your first day though" he says nervously.

"Okay dad" I say rolling my eyes and he chuckles and says "not yet" winking.

I slowly walk into the water and the water feels so good as it rises further up my body. I float in the water for a while and duck my head under to watch the ocean life beneath me. Neteyam call his ilu and we climb on to ride for a while. I sit behind him and he grabs onto my thighs as we glide through the water. I wrap my hands round his waist and every so often lower my hands teasing him.

I feel a sudden urge of sadness as we ride and I swim off the ilu then swim up the surface and climb onto a nearby rock. I let the tears escape as I sit there. Neteyam emerges and worries when he sees me. He rides over concerned and sits next to me holding me.

"What's wrong my love?" he says.

"I miss my ilu" I say.

"Oh y/n" he says and pulls me in closer.

I wipe my eyes and sit up and say "I'm fine, it's just the pregnancy hormones, i'll be okay in a minute"

"It's okay not to be okay" he says holding me still.

I smile and then he says "We better get back, Norm will be here soon"

I nod and we climb back onto his ilu then ride back to the village to wait for Norm.
