Like the dazzling star in the sky, Kim Gyuvin once again smiled at the whole table, making the youngest of the squad awe at his spontaneity. In their school, it was a trend among the students with the same roll in different years to help each other out, especially from the senior's end by providing notes or other study materials to the juniors. Yujin recently joined the school. And by sheer luck, received the same roll number as one of the most popular, most active and kindest seniors, Kim Gyuvin. He cared for all his rollmate juniors. Often treating them to meals. A few meetings and Yujin was already viewing him in a good light. He admired Gyuvin.

But Gyuvin's insane popularity also worked as a fine wall between them. Yujin was young, only starting high school, whereas Gyuvin was close to graduation. He had friends, while Yujin liked to stay alone. Gyuvin was also smart, good at sports, well spoken in different languages- like he was an embodiment of a well rounded student. Yujin wished to be like him; like many other. And since he had a little connection, and since he knew Gyuvin better than most of his classmates, he liked to say that they're close.

However, every time he stares at his senior, he becomes more and more aware of how different they were! Gyuvin would wave at him when their eyes met, but that's it. Yujin would definitely not start a conversation and Gyuvin would simply walk away. That's how things should be. So, Yujin did not complain.

Things turned weird when Gyuvin started to take care of him. Like one day during lunch time, Yujin was sitting all alone. He usually stays alone, but during lunch, it's rare to find an empty table. So he always ate with strangers. That day, however, no one else sat with him. He was glad though, until he saw Gyuvin far away. The latter was talking with his friends. Yujin sighed. He would really love to go and talk but that would be awkward. So he silently ate.

Minutes later, someone occupied the seat in front of him, and I need not mention, it was Gyuvin.

"Hyung?" Yujin asked in surprise. His senior flashed a smile, "Saw you're alone. So I came to accompany you."

Yujin couldn't but smile too. He was pretty nervous, since he really admired Gyuvin. However, the senior dismissed any awkwardness between them with his cheerful and caring remarks. Just through that one lunch break, Yujin got to know a lot about his senior. And his fear filled respect also escalated. He wished he could talk like that with Gyuvin often. But did I mention that he always stays with people?

Gyuvin didn't act like a stranger though. One random day he bought Yujin a drink. The next day, they met on the corridor and talked. Gyuvin even turned down some of his friends to continue the conversation. Not to mention, Yujin felt special. Especially when Gyuvin mindlessly ruffled his hair or patted his head. He felt like he made an impact in the senior's life. But the next day, Gyuvin would do the same to some other junior. And honestly, no speciality kinda bummed the younger.

Yet, what else could he say? He was just a naive fresher when Gyuvin was one sparkling star in the sky.

They had one thing in common though. That is, they were both class presidents. They often had to stay back after school by dint of which they met quite often. Every time, they'd wave at each other, or talk, then simply walk their separate ways. But that one day, when they were pretty late to witness the darkening of the sky from the school grounds, they didn't walk away from each other. In fact, Gyuvin didn't even notice the junior at first. It so happened that he was talking with his friend when Yujin spotted them from behind. Not to bother them, he walked behind them in slow steps. Till the main gate, Gyuvin did not notice the presence of someone else and he probably wouldn't ever if Yujin didn't decide to walk past him. In fear of being noticed once Gyuvin says bye to his friend, the younger tried to speed walk out of the gate; but well, he got caught. Gyuvin immediately recognised the small head of the tall boy.
