Zeus and Ian's First Meeting (Powers)

This is a throwback to before Powers's main story, and it shows the previously mysterious first meeting leading to Zeus and Ian's frenemy relationship. :)

"You," Zeus grumbled, appearing and crossing his arms.
Ian raised an eyebrow. "Uh, hi. Can I help you, or are you just going to glare all day?"
Zeus pointed an accusing finger at him. "You broke my sister's heart."
"Who's your sister?" Ian said, thinking through his past brief relationships for a girl who resembled this stranger.
Zeus sighed. "You've had relationships with that many girls that ended badly to think through? And Zeus gets associated with being a player... Mortals are way worse."
Ian laughed. "That legend? Well, at least I'm not a cheater."
Zeus glared. "I am not a cheater! One of my ex's got mad and added that to the legend of Zeus to get back at me. So annoying..."
"I-..." Ian paused. "Wait. Are you saying you're the god of thunder?"
"Not exactly," Zeus admitted, running a hand through his hair. "People did create the legend of Zeus based on me though."
"Huh... Nice," Ian nodded. "Anyway, back to your sister, I think I know who you're talking about. Is your sister Iris?"
Zeus nodded, frowning. "You hurt her. What's your problem?"
Ian sighed. "I warned Iris at the beginning that I wasn't looking for anything serious. We had a thing for two months, then I was ready to move on. I swear, I did warn her. It's not my fault that she didn't take me seriously."
Zeus considered his words and nodded reluctantly. "I guess that's fair enough. Why are you so noncomittal though?"
Ian eyed Zeus, thinking, then leaned against the wall. "I haven't met anyone worth sticking around for yet."

Zeus nodded. "I suppose that makes sense. Alright then. Wait... Where are we? I was just looking for you. I didn't pay attention to where you were."
Ian stood up straight and handed Zeus a remote with a button. "I'll let you find out for yourself. Please, have the honor of pushing the button."
Zeus took it, hesitating. "What does it do?"
"Find out, or I'll do it myself," Ian said vaguely.
Zeus knew he might be making a mistake, but he was young and wanted to push the button so badly that he disregarded his better judgment. He glanced at Ian then pushed the button.
"Look," Ian said, pointing out the window.
An explosion destroyed a government facility on Sakuro.
"Wha- why?" Zeus asked, shocked though honestly enjoying the destruction.
"Relax," Ian reassured. "They'll all likely survive. Sakurons are tough. The base won't though, so that will severely limit their aggression with other planets in my galaxy. That was my goal."
Zeus blinked then laughed. "Not bad for a human. Want to train sometime?"
"Anytime, anywhere," Ian agreed. "Who are you really though?"
"The name is Zeus Mythos," Zeus said with a smirk, creating more explosives for him then disappearing.
Ian blinked then grinned, glancing around. "Huh... I like that guy already."
