𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝟻𝟻

It was pitch black. Everything surrounding her was all black, except that one small illuminate area. She slowly walked toward that area.

In front of her, she met with a small cottage and a couple sitting together in that cottage.

"Oto-San....Oka-San....."

She slowly said as the couple turned toward her, it was those familiar face that she had seen before and yearned for a long time. Without thinking she ran toward them, hugging them tightly as her tear slowly falling down from her eyes.

The elder lady simply patted the young girl hair softly as the elder man hugged her back softly.

"I—I m—-missed you both so much, S—Shinobu p—probably does to."

The young girl continued to sob as she saying those lines.

"There there, stop crying. Kanae, you are a strong girl now, don't cry like a baby."

The elder lady who Kanae referred to as mother said before being added by the elder man.

"Your mom is right, you are grown up. You did a very great job in taking care of your siblings. Far more than we expected you can, really."

Kanae's father chuckled softly as he saw his strong daughter sobbing like a child. Kanae hurriedly wiped her tears away before standing up in-front of her parents.

"I didn't really that strong, it was all thanks to Shinobu that help me keeps everyone and everything organized. Really, I couldn't do anything without her."

Kanae confessed truthfully but received a chuckle from her parents as a replied.

"That's not true at all. Without you, Shinobu wouldn't also be able to grow up this strong."

"I must say because of you both being together; you both can grow up this strong."

Her parents said to reassure the young girl that she isn't any burden to her younger sibling.

"Oto-San, Oka-San I—-"

Before Kanae could say anything further to her parent, there was a voice interrupted her speech. A very loud voice calling out her name. A mix of female and male voice.

One of them is a voice that she had heard since she was a kid, a voice of her younger sister. While the other voice is a voice of a teenage male, a voice that she most familiar with in the demon slayer corps.

"Looks like our time is up here."

The elder female said looking at her daughter dearly.

"What do you mean? I still have a lot of things to tell and talk to you two."

Kanae said, her face is full of sorrow knowing that this is a goodbye to them and that she won't see them for a very very long time. But instead of a sad face, her parents smiled warmly at her.

"We will meet again, and we hope that it will be a very very long time for now. When that time come, you can tell us more of your story and your boyfriend."

As the word 'boyfriend' being spoke by one of her parents, it makes Kanae blushed a lot.

"I—I don't have one.....yet."

The way Kanae replied made both of her parents chuckled in synchronous.

"Well well, it's time for you to go now. They are waiting for you, enjoy your life with the person you love. We will wait for you here, forever and ever, we won't disappear so go now."

Kanae's father said as he stood up and pushed Kanae softly to where the other light slowly appeared. Kanae glanced back at her parents one last time before walked to the new source of light without any hesitation left.

'They're right, we will meet again. And this might sounds bad, but I wish we will not meet each other again in a next few years, if not a decades from now.'

As she keep walking, the sounds that chanting her name also being louder and louder.

"Can't believe I need to get out of this wonderful moment to go sooth these two cry baby."

Kanae sighed but also smiled softly as she thought about them.
