Mark carried the younger down the stairs—even though Donghyuck asked him to use the elevator because he was worried about being too heavy—to which the older assured him that he was not heavy at all.

He sat Donghyuck on the counter stool while he went behind the counter to serve food that was on the stove in bowls for them.

"What do you want to drink?" Mark asked as he slid two bowls on the counter, one in front of Donghyuck and one beside him.

"Water please," Donghyuck answered, Mark grabbing the pitcher from the refrigerator to pour it into two cups before handing it to the younger.

"Thank you," Donghyuck said before taking a sip while Mark hummed and walked back around the counter to sit next to his soulmate.

No one was in the dining area or kitchen right now which made Donghyuck wonder why but he suspected it was probably because of how late into the afternoon it was.

Mark took a piece of meat from his bowl, putting it in Donghyuck's before speaking, "Eat up."

Donghyuck grinned with an idea, poking Mark's arm to gather his attention. Mark looked at him blankly as Donghyuck opened his mouth and pointed to it, asking to be fed.

Mark raised his pierced brow, "Your ass is hurting, not your hands." He sharply said. "Feed yourself."

However, Donghyuck was not going to give up.

He pouted his lip and gave the best puppy eyes he could, knowing Mark really can not resist him at all.

Mark let out a sigh, taking one last bite of his meal before feeding Donghyuck who happily chewed on his meal.

"You're so spoiled, you know that?" Mark grimaced and playfully rolled his eyes.

"Mmm I know. Whose fault is that?" Donghyuck teased sassily, eating the food off of Mark's chopsticks with a sway of his body.

Mark shoved another piece of meat in Donghyuck's mouth, "Shhhh." He giggled as Donghyuck was trying his best to chew his food all the way so that he does not choke.

"Mark."

Donghyuck's and the said male's head turned around, seeing a bruised Taeyong with his arms crossed.

"What is it?" Mark asked, his demeanor changing from his comforting and laid back side to his seriousness and annoyance.

Not only did Donghyuck feel the tension in the room, but Taeyong still scared him and Mark could tell as the younger subconsciously held his hand underneath the counter.

Still with his demeanor changing, Mark was able to comfort his soulmate by rubbing the back of Donghyuck's hand with his thumb softly.

"Come see me in my office," Taeyong advised as Mark scoffed.

"Say it here. Why do I have to go over there?" Mark retorted, his brows furrowed and forehead crinkled.

"Now." Taeyong demanded as Mark rolled his eyes.

"I'm not going." Mark said, going back to continue feeding Donghyuck but the younger shook his head.

"I-I'm not so hungry anymore," Donghyuck whispered so that only Mark could hear.

Donghyuck lost his appetite because of his nerves building up in his stomach since he was in the same presence as Taeyong.

Mark read the younger's eyes, finding discomfort in them as practically begged Mark to stay with him.

He looked back at Taeyong, "Get out. I'll talk to you later but right now I'm in the middle of something."

"You're not doing anything right now. You-"
