May 18, 2023. 📍Monaco, France.
Lola has been working tirelessly for the past three days, putting in long hours and getting very little sleep. Despite her best efforts, her boss Antoine is still being incredibly demanding and critical of her work. He seems to have no understanding of how hard she is working or how much she is sacrificing to meet his high expectations.
Lola is feeling more and more frustrated and exhausted by the day, but she knows that she can't afford to let up now. She's determined to prove herself and show Antoine that she's capable of handling even the most difficult assignments.
Lola was feeling exhausted as she walked onto the set for the photoshoot with Carlos Sainz, the Ferrari race driver. However, she was excited to start working with him and capture some amazing photos. As she started to set up her equipment, Carlos walked over to her with a smile on his face and introduced himself. Lola felt relieved that he was so friendly and easy to work with. They started taking photos and Lola couldn't help but laugh at some of Carlos' jokes, he was indeed very funny.
After shooting with Carlos for a while, Lola felt the need to sit down and take a break for a minute. As she sat down on a nearby chair to rest her feet, her boss Antoine appeared out of nowhere and started scolding her for taking a break. He told her that she couldn't sit down and needed to continue working. Lola felt frustrated but didn't want to argue with Antoine, so she got back up and continued taking photos.
As Lola began the photoshoot with Charles Leclerc, she immediately felt more at ease. Charles was incredibly friendly and social, making it easy for Lola to get great shots of him. They laughed and joked as she snapped pictures, capturing the perfect shots.
But as they continued, Lola began to feel light-headed and dizzy. She had been working non-stop for days, barely eating or sleeping, and her diabetes was starting to take a toll on her body. She tried to push through it, not wanting to disappoint her boss or miss out on such a big opportunity.
However, after about 10 minutes of shooting, Lola's body gave out. She felt herself falling and tried to catch herself, but it was too late. She fainted, her body going limp as she fell towards the ground.
Charles saw Lola's face turn pale and knew something was wrong. Without hesitation, he sprinted towards her, catching her before she hit the ground. He held her in his arms, calling out for help as Lola's body shook.
Antoine rushed over, barking orders at everyone to clear the area and call for medical attention. Charles stayed by Lola's side, rubbing her back and trying to keep her conscious as they waited for help to arrive.
When the paramedics arrived, they quickly assessed Lola's condition and realized that her blood sugar had dropped dangerously low. They administered a glucose injection, and slowly Lola began to come around.
As Lola opened her eyes, she was met with Charles' concerned face. He asked if she was okay, and Lola nodded weakly. Antoine, on the other hand, was not as sympathetic. He scolded Lola for not taking better care of herself and not being able to do her job properly.
But Charles was quick to defend her, telling Antoine that Lola had been working non-stop for days and needed a break. Antoine begrudgingly agreed and allowed Lola to take the rest of the day off to recover.
Charles picks Lola up and takes her to his dressing room. Lola is still limp and tired. Charles makes a bed out of his couch and puts Lola on it. Lola's eyes close and falls asleep.
As soon as Lola woke up, she found herself lying on a couch in a room that she didn't recognize. Confused, she tried to sit up, but Charles gently pushed her back down, telling her to take it easy. "You fainted, Lola," he said softly. "You need to rest."
Lola groaned, feeling embarrassed and frustrated at herself for letting her diabetes get the better of her. Charles noticed her distress and took her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It's okay," he said. "It happens to the best of us. You just need to take care of yourself better."
Lola nodded, grateful for his kind words. As they sat there in silence for a few moments, Charles brought up the topic of her boss. "I noticed how Antoine treats you," he said, his tone serious. "It's not right. You don't deserve to be treated that way."
Lola felt a lump form in her throat as she thought about Antoine's harsh words and constant pressure. "I know," she said, her voice shaking. "But I need this job, Charles. I can't afford to lose it."
Charles shook his head, his expression firm. "You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of treatment, Lola. It's not worth sacrificing your health and well-being for a job."
Lola felt a pang of guilt wash over her as she realized how true Charles's words were. She had been so focused on pleasing her boss and doing a good job that she had neglected her own health. She knew she needed to make changes.
As Charles continued to talk to her, he asked about her diabetes and how she was managing it. Lola opened up to him. Lola explained that she had to be careful with what she ate and drank, and that she had to check her blood sugar levels regularly. But she also shared her struggles with keeping her blood sugar levels stable and her fears about the future. Charles listened attentively and was impressed by her discipline and dedication to her health.
Lola felt a warmth spread through her chest as she wrote down her number for Charles. She realized that he was not only a kind and supportive person but also a true friend. And for the first time in a long while, she felt hopeful about her future.
After spending some time in Charles Leclerc's dressing room, Lola felt better and her blood sugar level had stabilized. Charles was very kind to her and he even offered to take her to lunch. Lola was hesitant at first, but she felt like she needed some company and a good meal. So, she agreed to go with him.
Charles took Lola to a nearby restaurant that he liked. He ordered a variety of dishes for them to share, including some traditional Monegasque specialties. Lola found herself relaxing and enjoying the food.
As they ate, Charles and Lola chatted about their lives and their work. Charles shared some stories about his experiences as a racing driver, and Lola talked about her passion for photography. They discovered that they had a lot in common, despite their different backgrounds.
After they finished eating, Charles suggested they take a walk around the city. Lola agreed, feeling grateful for the company and the chance to explore Monaco. They walked through the narrow streets of the old town, stopping to take photos and admire the views of the harbor.
As Charles walked Lola to her front door, he couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards her. Seeing her faint had shaken him to the core and he couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to her. He turned to her and gently placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Lola, I know we only just met today, but I feel like I need to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Would you mind giving me your phone number so I can check up on you?"
Lola looked up at him, feeling a mix of emotions. Part of her was grateful for his concern, but another part of her was a little hesitant. She never had help with her diabetes. She has always been on her own, which has worked out well for her. But as she looked into Charles' clear green eyes, she couldn't help but feel a sense of trust.
"Sure, I'd like that," she said, as she reached into her purse to grab her phone. She handed it to him and he quickly added his number to her contacts.
"I'll send you a text in the morning to make sure you're feeling okay," Charles said, giving her a reassuring smile.
As Lola opened her front door, she turned around to face him one last time.
"Thank you, Charles. For everything," she said, feeling a warmth in her heart that she hadn't felt in a long time.
"Of course, Lola. Take care of yourself," he replied, before turning to walk back to his car. Lola watched him go, feeling a flutter in her stomach that she couldn't explain.
