Byleth broke the door down to the entrance of the chapel and looked around the area. He used a flashlight to see if he could see anything but all he saw was dust and rubble. There was nothing to be seen. He walked further into the room and that's when the door shut itself. Byleth stared at the door and then back around the entire chapel.
"Tedious... why do people have it hidden away despite this chapel being abandoned," Byleth groaned as he continued shining the light down the hall. He searched the area but didn't find much in return. He pointed his camera toward some strange writings on the wall.
Byleth read each of the writings in his head and looked at a bookcase which had insects lying on it. It was also filled with dust. Byleth walked over and looked around and moved them away with a book. Soon he was able to pull a book out which revealed a secret passageway.
"Well... Well... let's see down here..." Byleth went down the stairs and looked around the cave. This time it was dimly lit all around. Byleth looked around to see if he could find anything but all there were were markings of legends of the past. There was no sign of the scroll anywhere.
Byleth turned over and went down the cave, diving deeper and deeper into it. He loved the ominous aura it brought with it. Despite it being slightly lit up it looked like nobody had even the guts to walk through it. Byleth then found a group of skeletons in the corner of the hall.
"Some people have come down here and never came out of here alive..." Byleth muttered as he continued walking down the path. He looked around each of his corners and looked over to see a figure standing in the distance. Byleth flashed the light on the figure but it vanished right before his eyes. "Weird..."
He looked around the area to see if it was going to appear again and soon the lights in the cave started to go out. One by one the cave only grew darker and colder by the second. Byleth took a deep breath and slowly pulled out his sword. It had a bright glow and he was able to see better with it.
Still, he kept his guard up in case he was going to be attacked by the strange figure. He then paused and saw a small little obstacle course in front of him. He was able to jump across it safely and continued his search. The cave was huge, there appeared to be no end. Byleth kept a close eye on his communicator. The heroes weren't aware that he was gone yet, they were all at the house...
Byleth then noticed the same figure again standing in the distance. Byleth tightened his grip on the sword and glared at him. The figure soon vanished again as Byleth slowly kept walking, becoming more and more aware of the area surrounding him. Soon he paused, there it was, the scroll was glowing brightly through the dark.
"There it is... the scroll I was destined to have..." Byleth whispered as he put his sword away. He put his hands around the book and smiled at it. His eyes filled with swirls as he grew more and more in love with it. Soon the figure appeared behind him, Byleth was unaware it was directly behind him.
The figure whispered, "Those who come here will never escape..."
"I want to see you deal with a hero then..." Byleth replied as he turned over, taking out his sword while blocking the attack. He smiled at the figure and struck them down. He grabbed the scroll and walked past the figure. Soon it grabbed onto Byleth's leg.
The figure said, "You are not going anywhere..." Byleth stared at them and stabbed them directly in the throat. Black goo was gushing out from them as Byleth kept digging into the figure. Smiling through the entire process.
"What was that you were trying to do? It sounds pathetic..." Byleth mocked as he pulled the sword out. The figure was dead on the ground. "Aw, someone was unable to pull a fight with me. I guess I'm just too good for you to have the guts to try to kill me..."
Byleth looked down at the scroll and smiled. He hugged it tightly as the figure kept on gushing goo out. Byleth was hit with it as he kept on smiling, he loved the scroll. He was becoming more and more obsessed with the idea of getting his hands on the book. Once he got his hands on both he would be unstoppable. Nobody will be able to defeat him...
Byleth laughed, "You know, it's quite funny! I was trying to get my hands on this scroll yet not even a shadow creature could find a way to destroy me. If a shadow creature can't compare then I'm certain the heroes will be unable to do the same... they're nothing more than worthless. All of them trying to defend me after I murdered Mario? That was their first mistake.
There's no turning back now! I'm afraid I'm just too powerful for them to outmatch! How unfortunate! All those heroes were my friends for the longest time... only for their hopes and dreams to be crushed... now that the scroll is mine... I can get the book and become UNSTOPPABLE! I will be perfect! I will destroy that beast!"
Byleth paused as he stared down at the scroll. He noticed the negative energy flowing through it that was going into his body. He only went more and more insane as the more dark energy flowed into his body. He hugged it even tighter as thought about everything good that could come to him after he got full control of the scroll.
Byleth laughed hysterically, "AHAHAHA! NOBODY WILL HAVE THE GUTS TO DESTROY ME!!! NOR WILL ANYONE HAVE THE POWER TO DESTROY ME! THEY WILL NEVER STOP ME!!! NEVER!!!"
