Here you go children, as you asked.

Warnings: swearing

If you weren't detached before, you sure were now, you couldn't stand to be with any of them. Marcus betrayed you more than Aro and Caius did originally, it hurt so bad, you couldn't describe the type of internal pain. You spent most of your days in your room waking up from nightmares, crying, or dissociating. The pain was consuming you whole and most of the time it was killing you. Apologizing was not an option for you, it wasn't your fault, but as time went on you had to let it go, you were suffering. The kings were roughly in the same position, they knew that you were in pain, and they felt it thanks to the mate bond. Marcus could tell that the bonds between you and him and the others were very strained, he knew that he fucked up, he just wanted things to be better, back to normal. He wanted to make amends; he may have been the only one that was man enough to say he was wrong. He thought long and hard about how he might talk to you, how he might fix things to be better, better than when they first met you. He knew this would cause a big scar but if he could get the other kings to devote themselves to you rather than their wives, he might be able to work everything out.

Marcus, Aro, and Caius were sitting in Aro's office, none of them were in their usual mood, everything was off. Marcus wanted to talk to them about how they could change things and get you back.

"Brothers I believe we should apologize to our mate. I think we need to show her that we care and that we are here for her."

"What are you getting at Marcus?" Aro asked, looking at his brother inquisitively.

"We have to fix things. Last week was horrible and I am not ashamed to say it was my fault."

"Then you go say something," Caius piped up.

"This is not just about what I did or said. It started from you two not wanting to commit to one side."

"She was not supposed to find out," Aro said.

"There should not have been anything for her to find. There should not have been any secrets between us."

"Well, what were we going to do, ditch Sulpicia and Athenodora?"

"I think that would have been best."

"What if it was Didyme?" Caius was provoking Marcus.

"If she was alive and I was with her, I would have had a hard choice to make. I would have left her so I could be happy with my mate. When I married her, we spoke about how one day either of us could meet our mate and we would split up regardless."

Both the kings were silent, they hadn't thought of it like that. They knew one day either of them would break off because they had truly found their mate, currently, they were just fillers for each other.

"How do we fix it?" Aro asked Marcus.

"I think we need to go in there and talk like civil adults. Then we have to tell her that you will no longer be seeing Sulpicia or Athenodora romantically. You both will have to distance yourselves from them and eventually, you could be just friends with them. You will have to show her that she is more important than anything because she is."

"Well then let us go," Caius said as he stood up ready to go, he hated feeling this depressed.

You were in your room, you have been up for a while, you woke up from a nightmare and just couldn't get back to sleep, you were too scared to. You were sitting on your bed, legs still under the comforter, head in your hands, sometimes running through your hair. You heard your door open, it was quite early, normally no one came in here until at least nine. You saw Marcus first then Aro and then Caius, you were now angry, you didn't want to deal with this so early and especially after the night you had, you were tired and on edge. They could see it, you looked awful, the dark circles under your eyes, you just looked so dull, devoid of life.

"Tesaro, I know you probably do not want to see us but us being a part is hurting all of us. We need you back. We know we messed up big time."

"Love we understand that us going behind your back and being distant from you hurt you in more ways than we had realized, but we understand where we went wrong and we want to change," Aro for once looked powerless.

"We want you to know that we are leaving Athenodora and Sulpicia. It is time we spend time with our mate as a whole. We know you are hurting as much as us and we cannot take it anymore. We want to commit fully; we just need you back."

You were crying, you were at your breaking point and you didn't care anymore. "Please just make the pain stop, I can't take it anymore. Just make it stop, I don't care anymore, please," Marcus raced over to you and he held you in his arms as you cried. He sat down on your bed and brought you fully in his lap.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you tesaro. It was wrong of me to force you into forgiving them."

"It's okay, just make the nightmares go away."

"You have to understand I just wanted everything to be perfect, I wanted to protect everyone."

Aro came up behind you and slowly started to stroke the back of your head, he sat down next to you and Marcus. Caius came up and sat on the opposite side and grabbed your hand, only then did you feel like you could breathe again. The kings could hear it in your heartbeat beat and breathing that you were relaxing, your hyperventilating was becoming quieter and further apart. Their touch was calming to you, finally, your body wasn't on edge anymore, you had fallen asleep on Marcus' shoulder. You were exhausted and your body finally could relax, your mates were back and now your body was safe. The kings also felt it, they felt more exhilarated, they liked the sound of your steady heartbeat, they were happy that they were with you and they could finally apricate it. They didn't want to lose you or feel the numbness that they just felt from being separated from you.
