CHAPTER 22-
SMALLEST WEDDING IN HISTORY

If you thought that Tony Stark and Pepper Potts would have a massive wedding, with prestigious decor and A-list celebrities attending, you would be wrong. The venue was small, with only a few people attending, most of which were Lila and Natasha's friends anyway.

"Just because most of the people here are our friends, doesn't mean we can let go of our cover so easily." Natasha whispered to Lila. She nodded, and took to her seat in the back of the venue, with Natasha next to her. There was no doubt about it that the two elegantly dressed females sat right at the back, when everyone else was in the front, was suspicious, but the only people who looked confused were Peppers parents and a rogue dog.

"We are here today to celebrate the marriage between two people, Pepper Potts and Anthony Stark."

Natasha turned to Lila and smiled.

"Mr Stark, please say your vows." He turned to the guests, made eye contact with Lila and Natasha, and winked.

Both parties vows were impeccably written, both so full of love and hope. Tears were falling down Lila's face, and short, concealed sniffs were coming from Natasha.

"You may kiss the bride."

They shared a passionate kiss, whilst all the guest cheered.

"That'll be you soon." Natasha smirked. Lila nudged her in the ribs.

Tony scooped up Pepper in his arms, and ran down the aisle with her, casting a hand on Lila's shoulder as he went. Lila spotted people like Rhodey, Happy, Thor, Bruce and the Spider Kid that had been hired by Tony, all turning around and clapping, watching the couple down the aisle. Rhodey's eyes stopped on the two women, as Lila put her sunglasses back on her face and nodded at Rhodey. He tilted his head, whilst Natasha placed a finger on her lips as to shush him.

He walked towards the two, concealing a smile which was pulling at his lips. "I should've guessed. Laurite and Romanoff. Long time no see."

"As far as you're aware, we are not here." Lila muttered, smirking.

"You both look great considering the circumstances. I assume you were invited?"

Natasha nodded. "Tony sent Lila two tickets to Manhattan for the wedding, and the safest bet she could take was me."

Rhodey laughed. "Yeah. Good call. I bet Tony's happy to see you both. He has missed you."

"I've missed everyone. It's not the same, without the Avengers." Lila smiled sadly. "However, no life changing events have occurred since we broke up, so..."

"Which is exactly what the accords were for, Lila!" Rhodey laughed, jokingly hitting her on the arm.

"No mention of the accords whilst we are here, yeah?" Natasha muttered, making eye contact with Thor.

"NATASHA!" He boomed, running across the room as everyone was exiting.

"Oh, Christ." Natasha mumbled, putting on a smile.
"Thor! Long time no see!"

"How have you been? And who is- LILA!" He engulfed the girls in a group hug. "I have missed you both!"

"We've missed you too, Thor." Lila smiled.
