After the end of the incident that happen the only person, Naruto vaguely remembered was Sasuke and the mean villagers. Then when they got back all the village people started mentality and physically abusing Naruto to where each day Naruto came home with inquiries or depression then Sasuke just snapped after being fed up with the village people calling Naruto a demon and to die just reminding them both of their past. Then Naruto remembers a thing it goes if we go down then we go down together. He starts to mumble it then Sasuke starts to mumble it too. But then one day Naruto goes to a ramen place and nowhere the cook starts to abuse Naruto.
But when Sasuke found out that happened he went bizarre and left for years for a mission. But seen Naruto didn't have Sasuke for comfort Naruto kept trying to commit suicide to get away for good Kakashi would just try to keep Naruto happy and call Sasuke every day if he could to help Naruto but it didn't work.
