"Is... Is Jodie dead?!" Shuttle exclaimed, the same fear entering his eyes from the first time a body was discovered. Gehenna started to hyperventilate rapidly and fainted at the sight of the corpse. Almost instantly, the monitor in the warehouse turned on with a cheery tune.
"How unfortunate! A body has been discovered! Please gather inside the warehouse. Upupupu..." Monokuma announced before the monitor turned off with the same melody. Neru and Shuttle remained in the same spots, still in utter shock at the discovery. Everyone came into the warehouse one by one, fearfully looking at the corpse as well.
"No... How could another murder happen?! I thought from the look of everyone at the dining hall, we wouldn't kill anymore!" Eliyen held her hands to her head. "I am literally going insane. This game also makes me sick, and it isn't a pleasant experience."
"You'll be fine, Eliyen. Just take deep breaths." Cele assured. She then started to inspect the corpse before getting stopped by Monokuma.
"Hey! No inspecting yet! Investigation Time hasn't started!" He yelled directly into Cele's ears. She looked at Monokuma like a dead fly and backed up from Jodie's body. "Anyways, here's the second Monokuma File!" He cheered as he handed out tablets with the words "Monokuma File #2" on it.
Jodie, the Ultimate Hooligan, was 5' 4" and approximately 157 lbs. Jodie's blood type was O. Her cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, breaking her skull and immediately killing her in the process. The time of death was 4:31 PM. An image of Jodie was shown in the bottom right corner with a transparent pink oval over the top of her head, where the injury was, and with a short summary of the wound.
"Regardless if you're done reading or not, iiiiit's Investigation Time!" Monokuma cackled and disappeared as a buzzer-like noise played to signal that Investigation Time began.
"Shuttle, you know the drill." Cele smiled as she nudged Shuttle's arm. He shrugged and smiled back, agreeing to investigate with her. "Let's check the body first."
The wound seemed relatively new and couldn't have been done while everyone worked on the machine. It looked like it could have happened during the sudden blackout, and the murder weapon was a wrench.
"Talk about unoriginality..." Shuttle joked. "The culprit could have just used one of these crates and hid it in the same one." Cele chuckled at the comedic remark but immediately returned to a serious expression. "Got any ideas where to check?"
"Yes, actually. I want to check the rest of the warehouse to see if anything else could have been used to cooperate with this murder. Next, I'd like to check inside that machine. Finally, we should ask for everyone's alibis before the murder." She stated in such a serious tone it almost sounded like an order.
"Gotcha, Sargeant." Shuttle chuckled. Then, the both of them started laughing and quickly calmed down. "Let's not waste time. We have to do this, or else we're suspicious."
"Wait. Before we go around, look at this." Cele pointed. "There's blood on the back of Jodie's jacket. The injury is on her head..."
"You're right. I wonder what happened here... Maybe it isn't something important." Shuttle observed.
"Bloody Jacket" has been added to the Truth Bullets section of Shuttle's Monopad.
"Come on, let's get going to investigating." Cele invited. So they looked around the warehouse. They didn't find much, but they found a manual for the machine and notes.
"Uh... is it just me, or is both the manual and the notes unreadable?" Shuttle asked.
"You're right, they are- Wait, no, I can just barely read it... The note says, "It's got to be done. To set everyone free. They will never know." And that's all I can read. It has a signature, but it's too scribbled out to the point I can't read it." Cele read.
