After sleeping very well that night, the next morning, a loud bang woke me from my sleep. In a stir, I woke up to see what it was, I saw that the wall clock in the room had fallen. I got up and looked at it. The clock was perfectly fine. It didn't look like it had even fallen. I shrugged it off and hung it back to the wall. Looking at the clock now, I noticed it was time for Fajr. I quickly ran into the bathroom to perform wudu. I laid the prayer mat again and started praying Fajr.
I had decided to pack my bag since I had time to kill. I was packing when my phone vibrated. I picked up to see his texts.
Atif: I'll be taking a later flight. Sage flight and don't be late to yours.
Me: All good?
Atif: yea, some issues...
Me: Anything to do with your wife?
Atif: kind of, I can't say anything right now.
Me: Okay. Good luck with it then
Atif: Thanks bro, text me when you get your flight & when you get there.
Me: SureI looked at our texts, and Atif never told me issues with his marriage. The only thing I knew was that he was married to Samia, Alaya's best friend. But after that, I wasn't sure. He would disappear for days. I knew he had gotten rejected from Samia's family, so I was in sheer shock when he told me, him and Samia had gotten married, o was upset he didn't invite me, but he simply apologized and said they would soon have a proper event after some issues were solved.
After I had finished packing, I decided to go for a run. I hadn't been taking care of myself, and something made me feel like new today. I still had 5 hours until my flight. I could drive to the airport in 2 hours and still not be late.

At 12 o clock, father had sent a car for me to be picked up and dropped at the airport. I wasn't rushed, I was organized and had everything sorted. After clearing security and boarding the plane. I made my way to my seat. Soon, I decided to get some work done, the company had suffered because of me and I would fix it. I need to fix everything I had made suffer.I started working on a short presentation about the company and replied to emails. I needed to meet up at the hotel by a lunch meeting. It was more of a welcome meeting for some of the guests who arrived earlier. The flight was only a 2 hour flight, by the time I had my work done, the flight had landed in Berlin Grrmany.
Once I had picked up my luggage, I found the driver that had been arranged for me. Once he confirmed my name, he took my bag, and we both said in the car. "Sir, it might take an hour or more to reach the hotel. Traffic is heavy this time, " he said, "no problem." I replied, and soon we were on our way to the hotel. Most of the ride was slow, like he told me, the traffic was horrible, we weren't moving for at least 45 minutes.
I hadn't realized I had fallen asleep until the drive had started tapping the window. I got up to see we had arrived at the hotel. I apologized to the driver and thanked him for the rife. After paying him, I made my way inside the hotel. I was moving back after I had gotten my keys and checked in when I bumped into a little kid.
"Sorry, mister," the little girl said, looking up. I kneeled down to her height, "it's okay, I hope I didn't hurt you." "it's fine." The little girl replied. She looked like a 4 or 5 year old. The girl had turned around when her, I presumed her father, called out to her. "Kiran, what are you doing," he asked her, taking her in his arms. "I hope she didn't bother you." "Don't worry, she's a sweet little girl." I smiled, looking at her, to which she smiled back.
"I'm Shehryar Sheikh," he said, extending his hand for a handshake. I heard that name before, and it clicked, "I read at the email for the business event." He's the one who is hosting it. "CEO of Sheikh Enterprise?" He nodded his head, he opened his mouth, to ask me who I was, "Harris Ali, I'm from Ali Corporations." "I see. I presume you're here for the event, " I nodded. "Well, we are having our lunch in an hour. Feel free to join us." "Thanks."
Before I left, I remembered I had a chocolate bar I had bought, I had it to the litter girl before turning to make my way to my room.- °•○•°-
Around an hour later, I made my way back to the lobby, where Mr. Sheikh had told me to meet up before I had left. There weren't a lot of people there. I noticed there were a few fashion designers present, too. We waited a while, as we watched Mr. Sheikh looking at his watch and phone form from time to time. We concluded that he must be waiting for someone. Samantha Williams, one of the biggest fashion designers from Sydney, finally spoke up, seeing as lunch time was turning into dinner."Mr Sheikh, are you waiting on someone?" "Actually, Ms Willimas, I wanted to introduce you to a talented person I know, but I think she's running late. We can start in a few minutes." Everyone nodded and waited for a bit. After a while, Mr. Sheikh said we should start the lunch.
After lunch, I was one of the last people to leave. I managed to meet with Mr. Sheikh again and his daughter. " Baba, look, it's the uncle from before," she pointed at me. "You can all me Harris uncle, dolly," she giggled at the nickname I called her.
"Have you gone out yet? The city has a few good spots." Shehryar said, "I'm planning on going around in a bit." "That's good to hear. The schedule for tomorrow will be emailed to everyone tonight. I looked forward to meeting you then, Mr. Ali" "same goes to you Mr. Sheikh, and nice meeting you too, Miss Cutie, " I said, patting the little girls head.
In the evening, after I had finished my work and had prayed, I was in my hotel room, extremely bored, and I couldn't stand being in this room. I decided to go out a little, look around the area. I grabbed my wallet and phone and headed out. Near the hotel was a car rental spot. I thought, why not, and rented a car. In the rainy weather, it wasn't the best for touring, but perfect for a mindful drive to anywhere.
Berlin was a simple place, reminded me of London, I drive around here and there, and I knew I would eventually get lost, but having no care of anything right now didn't make it seem that bad, I had nothing to get back to right now and was free to drive where ever I wanted.
It was still raining, and since I couldn't stop, I had a beach or park like I had hoped. I instead just got a sandwich and coffee to go and had it in my car. I decided to go for a short ride, one more time before I headed back, which I'm not sure if it was a good idea. I was driving when the rain got heavier again.
I was driving part streets and buildings, I passed the other pedestrians and people running out of the rain, trying to get under a cover. I watched as a certain person caught my eye, making all my attention look at the hijab girl running out of the rain. That girl looked familiar, she looked familiar, before I realized, I almost crashed into someone crossing the road, in the moment, I completely floored my brakes, hoping I didn't hir the person. My car stopped. I looked to see the person still standing there in shock. I quickly got out of the car, I asked if they were okay, they were fine and said it was also their fault they weren't looking where they were going. We had resolved any issues there might be.
I looked in the direction I saw the girl last running, but she wasn't there. I decided to get in my car and go back to my hotel. There would have to be a miracle if I saw her here. Looking at that girl kept making me think it was her. I told myself I'm just tired and I'm just hallucinating, but then this would be a hallucination I wouldn't mind having.
