To start off, I want to say sorry to anyone who read and enjoyed the sequel. Trust me, I loved that book and had the whole thing planned out to give y'all the closure for Analise's actions. It was something I was proud of and loved, but I'm tired of tolerating disrespect from people on this app, especially when I feel like as an author, I have an image to keep. So, I'm not gonna be cursing out and going back and forth with people-although I really wanted to because some of the comments were crazyyyy. And this shit was almost every single chapter, coming from this book to the sequel.

Like nobody put a gun to y'all head and said y'all had to read the book. So, it was annoying hearing people complain, be rude as fuck, and say crazy ass shit when they could've exited the book. For my own peace, I just decided to take it down because I was two seconds away from stepping out of character. Not to mention, all the negativity kinda just made me tired of the book. So instead, I whipped up this sequel to show you how everything turned out for Alani. It's short, but I think it definitely gives the closure from this book, and everyone lives happily ever after.

With that being said, I have another Dthang book up called 'Looking For Love' If you know me from my old old Wattpad or followed me here early on, it's a revamp of one of my books with a slight twist and a Dthang version. I also have a Dougie B book coming soon, so if you enjoy my writing, pls check out my new Dthang book, and be on the look out for my Dougie B book.

I wanna answer the two most asked questions I've gotten from you guys between both books before ending my lil authors note.

Q: Why did I make Promise a villain?

A: I don't read much on WP anymore, but when I did, (and this is no shade to anyone), the woman were always right even when they were wrong, and the man was always the bad guy. So, I wanted to reverse the roles and have my female character be 'the problem' to see if her actions would still be defended. It was fun to see how everyone would react, and I thought it would be cool to switch up from what's commonly seen on WP. I wanted to be realistic, and I accomplished that.

Q: Why would Daniel get back with Jakiyah?

A: I feel like most people skipped over the part where Jakiyah explained that Sha EK basically took advantage of her (if you read the sequel this was explained again). When she admitted this to Daniel, he told her to never let a dude coerce her into doing something she didn't want to do. They got back together because that was his first love, and once he figured out the truth, he wanted to try it out again. AND Danny said he wasn't dating again after Ana, so he went back to what he knew. In the sequel it was explained they went to therapy together and learned to forgive each other.

If you have any other questions about why I did things the way I did with this book OR the sequel, feel free to ask. I try to respond to most of y'all questions and comments.

But to end it off, again, thank you for all the love, support, votes, and comments that I received on this book. I never really expected this book to blow up how it did, but I'm grateful for everyone who supported me and showed love. I hope y'all will follow me to my next books, and I love y'all 🩷
