However, I still remember having a good time after that. We went back to the car and Mom even let me sit on the passenger's seat again. The hot weather had helped drying the seat already, so it wasn't that wet anymore. She just put a garbage bag on the seat to protect my sweatpants from becoming wet. Or had it been the other way around? ^^ Well, I didn't care. I just sat in my seat, drank water and ate sour sticks, while singing and rocking to the radio music. I felt so cheery, that nothing could tarnish my mood. Whenever I felt a little pressure in my bladder, I joyfully tinkled into the diaper and enjoyed the temporary wetness as well as the padding becoming a bit softer. Mom seemed to like it, too, and every now and then even joined my singing. That way the next hours of the trip flew bye pretty quickly.

About an hour away from Rock Springs, we left the last interstate. I noticed, Mom had started rocking to the beat, but she also gradually stopped singing and smiling.

"Mommy, are you okay?", I asked worried and looked directly at her. What I hadn't noticed in the corner of my eye, was the serious look on her face.

"I guess", she answered cagey and forced a smile, that oozed of nervousness.

"If you say so...", I stammered unsure and nervously grabbed my diapered crotch.

"Hey honey"

"Yes?"

"Just continue singing your songs. I really like it", she added and stroked my hair.

"I'd love to"

"Mommy just needs to call the hotel for a minute, okay?", she explained and I nodded.

"Okay, yes", I added, when I realized, she couldn't hear me nodding ^^ Mom touched the phone in the holder multiple times, until a dial tone sounded.

"Executive Inn & Suites, Mr. Brown, who am I talking to?", a bored voice asked, followed by some heavy breathing.

"Hi, this is Silvia Anderson"

"Howdy Mrs. Anderson, how can I help you?"

"I'm afraid I'll be a bit late"

"How late?"

"I may need about an hour..."

"That's not a problem. Ma'am, you can still get in at the entrance with your room card. See you tomorrow...", the man explained serene, which made Mom look confused. Then something dawned on her and a shock crossed her face.

"What? Room card? No, wait! I have yet to check in!"

"Today? Impossible..."

"But...sir...I told you I'd come late, when I booked the room...and you said, it'd be okay...", she explained upset with one hand on the wheel and the other one between her legs.

"Maybe I did, but right now it's already VERY late...", the voice said and Mom looked more and more desperate.

"But..."

"And in an hour it'll be too late, Mrs. Sanders...you gotta wait until tomorrow then...", he added and Mom didn't even bother to correct him about the name.

"LISTEN...please, Mr. Brown...I already drove 7 hours...I can't go back!...I'm tired...I'm exhausted...and I paid the room in advance...please, just tell me: how long will you be there...?"
