💖Late Night- (RenWin Version)

I finally got around to your request!! i hope you don't mind that i changed the plot just a bit so it wasn't identical to the Dojae one!

It's never a good thing to wake up in the middle of the night to a distressing noise, especially when you live alone. Win-win was sleeping peacefully the whirr of his air conditioner soothing his resting mind. It was 2 AM and win-win was awakened by a strange noise. At first he ignored it, too entranced by the peace of sleep to care to get up and investigate but something about it urged him awake. He sleepily rolled out of bed rubbing his eyes as he squinted at the time on his phone.

Now that he was awake he heard the noise more clearly, it sounded like someone was crying. He was instantly worried, afraid that maybe a child was lost or somebody was hurt. He threw on his robe and slippers and rushed to the front door. It was chilly and dark, only the far streetlight illuminating the neighborhood. Win-win scanned the area with his phone flashlight.

He turned off the porch and was startled to see a figure just to the left of his house, a very familiar figure.

"j...junnie?"

The boy was curled in on himself on the curb, his face buried in his knees. Upon hearing win-win's voice, he jumped up in fear.

"woah woah hey it's just me baby."

Renjun's eyes went wide upon recognizing his boyfriend beside him.

"Sicheng..." his voice was quivering, his eyes full to the brim with tears.

"jun, baby what's going on hm? What's got you so upset love?"

Renjun leaned into win-win nuzzling his face in win-win's chest.

Win-win wrapped his arm around him and pressed their bodies together.

"let's go inside okay? Let's get you out of the cold. Baby."

Win-win stood renjun up and led him inside of his house quickly draping a soft throw blanket over his shoulders and sitting him on the couch.

Renjun shivered as tears rolled down his cheeks, his hands wrapped around win-win's arm.

"I'm.. I'm sorry for coming here i...I just..i didn't know what else to do and i-

"hey, baby it's okay, you can always come to me, don't worry about that, are you in danger or something?"

"no...no nothing like that I just...needed to get away I guess."

Win-win frowned reaching his hand over to hold renjun's.

"was it your roommate?"

Renjun sighed rubbing at his wet cheek.

"I just, I had a bad day at school and my parents are on my case about grades and my dad he...he just said some...some mean stuff on the phone and Haechan didn't make things better by making fun of me at the dorms let alone inviting his homophobe friends over to drink. I just..."

He paused and laid his head on win-win's shoulder.

"had a really bad day." He whispered taking a second to inhale the familiar scent of his boyfriend.

Win-win raised his hand to rest on renjun's head, softly running his fingers through the boy's hair.

"I'm so sorry baby, I wish I could have been there for you."

Renjun sniffled shaking his head against win-win's shoulder.

"you had class, and work right after I didn't want to bother you."

"baby, you are never bothering me okay? If you're having a bad day you know you can talk to me, there's nothing more important to me than you Renjun."

Renjun smiled as he rose his head to look at win-win.

"but I don't want you out at night by yourself anymore, it's super dangerous, next time you need to get away just call me and I'll come get you okay?"

Renjun looked down and nodded.

Win-win rose renjun's chin up with his fingers and looked into his eyes.

"promise me."

Renjun smiled.

"I promise."

Win-win smiled and leaned in placing a soft kiss to renjun's lips.

When they broke apart, win-win wiped the remaining wetness from his boyfriend's cheeks.

"next time that asshole says anything to you, I'll come down to your dorm and beat his ass."

Renjun giggled and lightly smacked win-win's chest.

"maybe I should just get a new roommate instead."

"can you do that this late in the semester?"

"I honestly don't know...maybe I should just ignore it until the end of the year."

"I mean...you could just...stay with me." Win-win said awkwardly scratching the back of his neck."

Renjun felt his cheeks go hot.

"oh well I mean, I couldn't ask you to do that I'd just be a burden."

"hey!" win-win gently grabbed both of renjun's shoulders.

"you are NEVER ever a burden to me okay? I would absolutely love if you stayed with me."

Renjun bit back a smile.

"you're sure about this?"

Win-win nodded aggressively.

"of course I am! Babe, you're the love of my life why wouldn't I wanna live with you?"

Renjun felt his eyes go teary yet again. He ducked his head down and wiped his eyes.

"oh baby...hey, don't cry love."

"sorry, I just...I'm just really happy to hear you say that."

Win-win smiled and kissed renjun's forehead.

"so you'll move in with me then?"

Renjun chuckled and pressed their foreheads together.

"nothing would make me happier."

Win-win wrapped him up in a tight hug, his heart full and relief washing over him.

"let's get some sleep hm?"

Renjun nodded and let win-win stand him up and lead him upstairs to get some much needed sleep.
