Chapter 3: Playing With Fire
-Bex p.o.v.-

I was awoken by something pounding on my head. Lifting my head from my bed in confusion, I turned around and was met by a pillow to the face.

Glaring up at the culprit, Lily looked down at me guiltily. "Morning," she trailed off, letting the pillow fall from her hands.

"Yeah, what a great way to wake up." I grumbled and stood. Stumbling towards the bathroom, I grabbed my clothes. After I got ready and had finished in the bathroom I plopped on my bed. Closing my eyes and resting, I waited until Lily finished getting ready.

When Lily had finished she pulled me down the stairs to the common room.

I stepped out of the doorway and was soon attacked. Someone jumped on my back and the surprise caused me to stumble a bit. I looked around and saw it was Liam. "Good morning!" He chirped, peeking over my shoulder.

"Morning." I mumbled and lifted him up to a better place on my back. As Lily continued to go through the common room and out of the portrait hole, I followed behind slowly with Liam on my back.

"How come you're not wearing your uniform?" Liam questioned.

"I am too," I argued back.

"No, you're wearing jeans." He pointed out, "not the uniform."

"Okay fine, I'm wearing my skinny jeans because I don't like skirts. But I am wearing the dress shirt and tie," I explained with a shrug.

"That makes sense," he nodded.

"Of course it does," I smirked. "I always make sense."

He laughed and nuzzled into my hair. "Thank you."

"What did I say about mentioning it?"

"Not to." He smiled. "But you did save me."

"Yeah I did and it's cool, you don't have to keep mentioning it." I laughed, moving quickly down the magic staircase.

"Alright." He said as we entered the great hall.

"You wanna sit with me?" I asked, glancing back at him.

"Yeah!" He exclaimed happily.

I laughed and walked over to where Lily and the other girls that we roomed with: Alice and Marlene, sat.

"You sit here with them, okay?" I asked setting him down next to Lily.

"Where are you going?" He asked, his eyebrows frowning.

"I'm gonna go talk to my dad real quick, I'll be right back," I said. He nodded and turned to the smiling girls.

I laughed under my breath, glancing back at them over my shoulder. The girls absolutely adored Liam, found him so cute. And Liam liked the attention.

Turning back around I headed up to the head table. "Morning dad," I greeted him with a hug.

"Good morning, sweetheart." My father smiled at me, his blue eyes twinkling behind his glasses.

"Hey, daddy," I started, rocking on the balls of my feet and swinging my arms slightly.

"What is it you wish to have?" He chuckled, raising an amused eyebrow at me .

"Can I have my own password for the common room?" I asked sweetly, batting my eyelashes at him.

He chuckled but nodded. "And what shall it be?"

"Well it should obviously be: Bex the Supreme Ruler and Master of all things Living and Dead has returned." I grinned as I spoke, saying the words that I knew so well.
