A few days later Athos, Scott and Elder Camarillo came by for a visit.

"Hello my dear." Elder Camarillo embraced me.

"Come and sit down. Would anyone like something to drink?" Athos gave me a strange look. "Kylie are you all right?"

"Yes Athos I am fine. Why?"

"You offered a drink to Scott and me."

"Of course I did. I have chilled human and animal blood."

"I am sorry Kylie I keep forgetting about that."

"I thought vampires never forgot." I smiled. He gave me a look that if he could turn red he would have.

"I will have some tea Kylie." Elder Camarillo answered. I nodded to him. I looked at Scott and Athos they shook their heads.

I knew Paddy would be back with the Boys shortly I already had the water on for tea. I put the tea tray on the table just as they walked in. The three of them bowed to the Clan Elder.

"I am glad you are here Paddy. We have been doing tests on the little darts."

"Yes Sir."

"They all had a different fruit juice coating them."

"Really what were the juices?"

"Some had apple, tomato, strawberry and blueberry juices on them."

"That is what they are served with their meals."

"Yes I know I asked Mistress Katey about that also." Elder Camarillo said.

"We think the combination of the fruits was enough to make you faint and sleep." Scott said.

"How do they know that vampires can not have fruits?" Athos asked.

"They were in the cavern the one time I became ill from some sangria that Cassie was making."

"Oh dear."

"Those two will stop at nothing to harm you." Athos said shaking his head.

"I have noticed that." I said.

"I am sure you have."

"Where did they find the silver?" Paddy asked.

"It was leftover from the big stake. It had melted when it made all that smoke." Scott told us.

"They just rolled up the pieces that were left." Athos said.

"They do not have anymore?" Scott asked.

"If they do they can not get to it. Father has not let them back in their original cell." Paddy said. I nodded. I already knew this.

"Father and Quinn have taken everything apart to make sure they have no more weapons."

"Good that pleases me" Elder Camarillo smiled.

"Excuse me Sir. We would like to show our mother something." The Boys asked.

"Of course my Boys."

They bowed to the Clan Elder. "Thank you Sir."

"Look Mom. Miss Anna brought them back from Montreal. She let us choose which one we wanted." They both had a book each about dragons.

"These are very interesting." I scanned through each book. "I would be interested in reading them after you."

"All right Mom."

They showed the books to everyone else. Paddy was smiling he had already seen them.

"Well my dear, I must be off. I am joining the Messners for dinner."

"Thank you for coming Sir."

"I always enjoy coming here." He smiled.

"Thank you again." The Clan Elder left.

"Kylie, Elder Camarillo is very upset. He wants to put an end to the Senior Rileys." Athos said.

"I know."

"I think he is putting it off because of you two. He said something that you did not want them dead, just to suffer."

Paddy and I both nodded. "That is right."

"Just so you know. He will have his way."

"Yes Athos until then they will suffer." I whispered.

"I guessed as much knowing how you are. Well I am making dinner tonight. I will see you later." Athos said.

"I have to go too." Scott said. They left.

Paddy and I sat with the Boys and read their books. I made them their dinner then we went to the main chamber. The prisoners were being flogged again.

The four of us stood to one side. We were to the left of their path. They kept looking around until the Boys growled at them. They turned to us and smiled.

The two of them then turned, pulling off their willow branch belts and running towards us with wooden stakes that they pulled out of their sleeves. Both Boys stepped in front of me.

They were stabbed by the stakes.

My scream was heard through out the entire cave.

I went to grab their throats. They grabbed my hands and bit me. I stood there my body temperature rose very quickly. I looked down at my sons.

They have killed two more of my children.

I heard a very loud growl. It was coming from me. I noticed my hands. They were green and scaly. I looked down at the Senior Rileys from a very high place. They were staring up at me in horror.

I bent down to look closer at them. I took a deep breathe and fire came out of my mouth. I was lucky I turned towards the fire pit or I would have set the Council on fire.

I turned back to the Rileys. I picked them up in my claws and squeezed. I bite their heads off and threw them into the fire pit. They burst into flames.

I turned my back to my sons. Shaun and Paddy were with them. Everyone was crying. I roared loudly in my anguish. I flew out of the cave.

I swooped down low over the river. I could see something following me. I looked over my shoulder. There was a large scaly back and tail attached to my head with large wings.

I was a dragon.

I flew West for a long time. I was becoming tired? I did not understand this. I do not become tired. I landed in small clearing and took a nap.

I felt something warm on my shoulder. I opened my eyes. Paddy was looking at me with a look of relief. "Kylie are you all right?"

"I think so I had a horrible dream." I sat up slowly. "I dreamt I was a dragon and I killed the prisoners for killing Pete and John then I flew a great distance."

I looked at Paddy. He was looking at my hands.

"It was not a dream, was it?"

"You killed the prisoners but John is still alive. The stake went right through Pete's heart." I held Paddy tightly. "How long have I been gone?" I whispered.

"Not long."

We stood up. We were both naked.

"I am going to shift you into a hawk then we will fly home. You were almost at the mountains. Why did you stop?"

"I was tired."

"Oh?"

He held me in his arms. I kissed his chest then up to his chin.

"I am having a hard time concentrating."

"Oh?" I kissed him some more. We did not go home right away.

It was a long flight back it took us two days to fly back to the cave. When we flew into the cave Quinn was waiting for us. He ran ahead so that he could open the door to our quarters. He closed it behind us.
