"𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗘𝗠?" Salani askedtaking her phone out to take photos of the woman's nails and install. She looked down and smiled big. "They're soo prettyyy. How much I owe you?" She exclaimed admiring her nails and hair in the mirror.
"650." Salani answered. The woman pulled out 100's and 20's. She began to count them as Salani cleaned up the area. "Here mama, you do a great job everytime. Keep the extra." She says giving her a hug. Salani smiled and wrapped her arms around her. "Of course, anytime."
She watched her get her bag then leave, waving on her way out the shop. Salani continued to clean up, the sound of the doorbell making her look up.
She saw a tall figure walk in, dressed in all black. They looked at her in shock. "Hello. You booked an appointment?" She asked.
"Mhm," the person answered pulling their hood down. They took off their mask and Salani let out a sigh seeing Jenn smile at her. "Wassup" she went to hug her.
She pushed her away. "Now why you came in here lookin like you was finna rob me?" Salani asked with her hand on her hip.
"My fault gang. I came in to get a retwist though." She says making her roll her eyes.
"Sign in there, put your stuff in a cubby then come sit down girl." She pointed to the different areas. Jenn nodded and settled in, then went over to her. "My fault if I deadass scared you." She apologized genuinely.
Salani chuckled. She so cute. She thought.
"It's alright Jenn. Take this durag off." She said. She untied the durag and shook her head. "Woah.." Salani mumbled.
"I know..it's been a while. That's why I had on my beanie a few days ago.." Salani frowned. "No, your hair is really long. Usually people come in with shorter."
They continued to talk after that, while Salani washed her hair, then moisturized her scalp before getting her gel. "My hair smells nice, whatchu use to spray and oil it?" Jenn asked.
"The product has coconut, almond, and vanilla. Now sit still child." She smirks. "Nigga I'm older than you" Jenn says looking at her through the mirror. "Mhm, and? You in my Salon." She replied back instantly.
She kissed her teeth and laughed.
"How you been though? I didn't know you were a hair stylist or nail tech." Jenn switched the topic. "Good, and there's a lot yall don't know. You'll find out as time goes by though." She answers.
