*2 DAYS LATER*
Ellie's POV:
My stuff was all packed, as I began to pace my hotel room, checking every nook and cranny. I made sure I had every single bit of my stuff in my bags.
My hair was tied back in a simple ponytail, as I wore a simple pear of black leggings and an oversized t-shirt.
Normally, I would dress nicer, even if I was just going to the airport. But, my mind and my body didn't allow me to get up and waste my time doing my makeup and hair. So why would I dress nice?
Hell. Nothing in my body seemed to be working the way it should at all.
I felt empty inside.
I felt alone.
And now that I have no brother, and no Nikolai. I just would have to adapt and get used to this new lifestyle, even if it meant that I would suffer.

After checking one last time around my room, I finally gave up after not finding anything.
I took a deep breath and sighed out as I grabbed my suitcase and set it on the ground.
Soon, I held my backpack purse as I wrapped it around my back, securing it tightly.
I pulled the lever up on my suitcase as I grasped the handle with my hand and soon began to drag it behind me.
As soon as I reached the door to my hotel room, I couldn't help but stop.
I couldn't help but stop and remember about all of the memories I had in this room with Nikolai.
How we made love, in the shower, and my bed. How he stood right in this doorway, waiting for me to open my door just so I could see him.
How. I would never see him again.
I shook off the thought immediately as I turned the knob with my hand, opening the door.
And once I saw that the coast was clear, I shut the door behind me and began to walk down the hallway before getting about halfway down the hallway, before I heard a ding on the elevator causing me to freeze.
I stood their in anticipation, waiting to see who was going to appear.
And as soon as I saw their shadow appear on the wall in front of them, I immediately wished that I was back in my hotel room.
Anthony began to walk down the hallway, but he hadn't noticed that I was standing here.
He is looking down at his cell and the fresh glass of water in his hand.
He is wearing a fresh tux, and his hair is slicked back in formal wear. He looks like he is about to go to a meeting.
The dingy light reflected off of his shoes, making them shine.
I did my best not to stare at him as I began to walk.
Nerves caressed my skin, as I couldn't help but worry as I walked down this path.
But as soon as I took one step, his head immediately darted up as his eyes reached mine.
His lips parted as his eyebrows went up.
I didn't dare give him the time of day by looking at him any longer as I continued to walk.
"Ellie." Was all he said.
I glanced at him once before looking back in front of me.
His eyes narrowed. "Come on, El. Can we please talk."
I closed my eyes and shook my head as soon we passed each other, but a hand reached up and grabbed my wrist, causing me to stop.
My head darted towards my left as anger started to rise for the like the millionth time this week.
God. I REALLY didn't need this.
"Stop." Anthony said.
I immediately whipped my arm out of his grip as I adjusted the strap on my backpack.
"Get the fuck off me now, Anthony."
He rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Are you seriously going to act like a child? You know it was for your own good."
I smiled playfully as I began to walk again, but soon stopped in my tracks.
"I don't know how many times I have to say this. But. You are NOT dad. No matter how hard you TRY to be. YOUR NOT HIM. And you are certainly not MOTHER. So you have no power over me. So. Stop trying to act like you can tell me what to fucking do. Now. Goodbye." I said as I started to walk.
"Oh. So you think your so smart now? Like being with that dead-beat is the best thing for you now?"
I shook my head. "I never said that. But that dead-beat, Anthony, used to be your best friend. Or rather that, your brother. So, I don't want to hear ANYTHING BAD about him."
Anthony gulped as he gripped his glass of water tighter.
"I am leaving. I am going back to Italy. But don't contact me. Don't text me. Don't send your men to fucking check on me. Don't send me letters or gifts. Don't ask mom to spy of me for you. And don't mess with my life, Anthony. Because you said I had to choose. Well. I am not going to, because you were over here trying to get me with someone, because it was a fucking rule in the Mafia. And when I finally find SOMEONE, you turn them down like a snake."
He looked away as I couldn't even look him in the eye anymore.
As soon as those last words left my mouth, I immediately walked down to the elevator as I touched the button for me to go down.
As soon as the doors opened, Beverly appeared with a bottle of coca-cola in her hand as she jumped slightly. Startled to see me.
And as soon as we locked eyes, I could see a sense of sympathy in her eyes as she was almost telling me 'I'm sorry' even though she didn't do anything. She didn't do a single thing.
She breathed out with her nose as a small smile formed at the corner of her mouth.
I gulped as I gave her a smile back before letting her exit.
She gave me one last glance before walking down the hallway, as her body disappeared from my view.
I closed my eyes and sighed out as I stepped onto the elevator, pressed the button and allowed the elevator to take me away from this fucking hotel that in my opinion is cursed for breaking hearts and destroying people's lives.
