It's a normal, sunny day out in the Clover Kingdom.
Oh how I could pick out fresh flowers today."Hyaku! Make sure to carry out these files to the drawer as well!" A deep female voice came from upstairs, it's also audile that loud shuffling of paper could be heard along with it.
"I'm on it, give me a few seconds!" Hyaku replied back while hurriedly dropping books down on a wooden table nearby. A ray of warm light coming from a window shines onto a cover of a book on top, also leading to the sides of other books within the stack.
Hyaku went up the flight of stairs, catching her breath for a moment and jogged into the room the voice came from. At the very front and nearby the doorway, Hyaku spots her boss handling a stack of files that are covering the lower part of her face. Before taking off the folders from her boss's arms like she'd been asked to, Hyaku was questioned about her hasty movements.
"What's up?" The boss asked as she makes eye contact with the teenager. Her dark red eyes shined and mirrored Hyaku's figure.
"Huh?" Hyaku wonders what her boss is trying to ask while also redirecting her vision to a small, clear, yellow tinted vase with a beautiful and well-taken-care-of Camellia flower inside to avoid eye contact.
"What I mean is that you're quite of in a rush today. Is something on your mind?"
Hyaku continued with what she was previously doing and reached out for the stack of files, the weight of them being transferred onto her hands almost made her lose balance and fall forward. But shortly, Hyaku fixed her stance and peeked out of the side of the folders that were towering over her, "I'm going out today. It's the perfect weather to roam around and explore, y'know."
The boss turned her head and stared off into the window, scouting the light blue skies that are decorated with a few puffy clouds scattered around, "Well I suppose we need a break from all of this."
After hearing that, Hyaku was all ears and interested about what comes next. Her eyes gleamed in excitement as she waits in anticipation.
"To change things up for this spring, you can go ahead and do whatever you want without my supervision. Go out and explore different places to your heart's content!" The boss announced in a rich and motivating tone. The vibe was similar to a sports coach cheering on her team to stay determined.
Being all riled up, Hyaku nodded in delight and dashed out the room. She was cautious and stayed mindful about the important belongings in her hands. Slowing her pace when she went down the stairs, Hyaku hopped off when it came to the last step. The polished wooden floor boards almost made Hyaku lose her footing and slip once-more. Then, she opened a low drawer near with her foot— considering her hands were obviously full— and carefully settled the files inside.
Back at the room, the boss stood near the lone Camellia on her desk. She stared at it with soft yet upset eyes, sensing a sort of yearning. The boss could only think about the fond memories with the individual who gifted the flower before they were sent off to their long departure. No one knows where that specific person could be, but since they were last seen being sent out at sea with other crew members, one could assume that they're no longer with us. Boss, on the other hand, still believes her dear friend is alive after all these years.
To get her mind off of the bittersweet moments, she looked outside the same window one more time, viewing the Royal Capital in the distance. She sighed to herself as she combs her light brown hair with her fingers.
The boss eventually came down the second floor, stretching her arms with a tired yet joyful expression. "I'll head out to shop for some things. You can take your time and enjoy yourself since I might come back at night," She walked towards Hyaku who was inches away from the open door, "Just don't do any shit that could get you or both of us in trouble. And if you get yourself in an extremely dangerous situation while I'm gone, I'll come over and beat your ass." The boss's face changed into a more intimidating look, it appears that she's extremely serious about that.
