THE AFTERMATH (1 WEEK LATER)
The War of the Auspex was over. The battle didn't end how either sides intended it to end. Ryoma didn't get the Auspex to destroy the world and we couldn't stop the world's imminent demise without losing Rena. She did a great thing for the universe but, I dunno...was this really the only way? Not that it matters, it was already over before we all knew it. I was sat on top of the roof of my house, looking out into the horizon, wind blowing against my red hair. The whole battle really screwed not only my family but also the city too. A bunch of shit was destructed in the battle, including Tokyo Tower (which is prolly expensive to repair like everything else).

This really made me wonder, is this why the government don't agree with us? Understandable, if so. We were forced to lay low after the battle and rest up. I clench my hand and point it up to the sun. I have a feeling Rena hasn't died yet. It seems like wishful thinking but can you blame me?
"Thanks for everything. I really wish things didn't turn out this way, but I'll stay strong for you," I say, now standing as I notice Yusuke, Shiina and Haru walking to my house. I jumped off my roof to greet them.

"'Sup bro. How's it going?" Haru says, giving me a fist bump.
"Nothing much, just chilling for now." I say nonchalantly.
"We were all worried that you would be pretty downcast after...y'know..." Shiina says trying to be considerate.
"Nah. I'm all good. If I spend my life moping over something that's already past, I'll be a liability to you guys." I respond. "I've just gotta stay strong and keep my head up, yeah?"
I smile at them and they look at each other before nodding their heads.
"Alright, let's head out!" I yell as we all leave for Apocalypse Hunter HQ.

MEANWHILE IN HQ
Makoto and Natsuya were called in by an Apocalypse Hunter government official for a talk. The both were wearing suits and walked in and found the official.
"So, what's the problem?" Makoto asks.
"You two. Are truly reckless." The Official said. "You did defeat Ryoma and stopped the worlds destruction, but you destroyed many buildings! We are gonna be forcef to pay for the repairs!
"Maybe if you listened to us and actually paid attention to our warnings, those buildings would've survived." Natsuya says in a condescending tone.
"And maybe if you learnt a little bit of control, those buildings wouldn't have to die!" The Official responds back. The door then creases open and emerging from the light, 2 figures in suits come forth and a third comes in closely behind.

"C-Chairman Matsumoto! It's an honour to see you here right now!" the Official said, bowing his head to show respect.
"Kawanabe...you seem...healthy...?" Chairman Matsumoto replies, raising an eyebrow. Kawanabe the official nodded his head in a frantic fashion.
"Anyhow, have you gotten started with what I've asked you to do?" Matsumoto booms with his loud voice. He stood at 6 foot exactly and had gelled his hair back. He looked around his mid-forties.
"Yes sir, I have! The process has just begun and it's proceeding smoothly," Kawanabe explains.
"Funny, isn't it? Earlier you were totally reprimanding us and when the 'chairman' walks in, you've gone all teachers pet!" Makoto says, with a cynic smirk on his face.

The two guys behind Chairman Matsumoto pulled out their pistols and held both Makoto and Natsuya at gunpoint.
"Seriously? The NPC's wanna get rowdy, huh?" Makoto says, attempting to rile them up but Matsumoto stepped forward and the guys let up.
"You are Makoto Nishimura, correct? Then that makes you Natsuya of the Kyoto Group." Matsumoto firmly says.
"And you are?" Natsuya reluctantly asks. Matsumoto flashes a little smile at him.
"There's no need to be so wary of me. I'm Takuto Matsumoto, the Chairman of JNS, your suppliers. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Matsumoto says, giving them his card.
"Huh, checks out. So, what are you doing here?" Makoto confirms.

Matsumoto takes a seat and sips on his coffee that he was holding when he walked in.
"I had Kawanabe here perform an errand for me. I came to check the progress," Matsumoto says calmly. It was hard to tell whether he lies or not, his voice is too composed.
"What was this 'errand' he was doing for you?" Natsuya asks curiously.
"It's a confidential matter. If word were to get out about government business, it wouldn't be very good," Matsumoto explains. "The government doesn't approve of you and you still roam freely. Maybe show some restraint when you battle."
Makoto rolls his eyes and turns to Kawanabe.
"We apologise for the mess, but we still saved the world from being destroyed. Cut us some slack, will ya?!" Makoto tries to tell Kawanabe.
