It was 1970
Best first year for any decade
60's was a party, an enlightenment, an inclusive and exclusive time, an epiphany, an experiment, a social explosion of new anything
Nearly everything displaced Elvis folks, Beatlemania, anti-war, British invasion, youth in number, political cultural and social revolution, the number of youths outnumbering 50's entitlement with intelligent protest of most established concepts. Some of us went spiritual, some went primitive, recapturing artistic ownership
Most of the population of teens and a lot of 20 somethings took this new thing over the top and to the moon
Over with oldness
Youth generated change in most all communicational events, public and privateIt was this wonderful combination of extremes, that unknown future that a cold war dynamic created
We responded with uprooting the 50's
We forced change on everyone, if they liked it or not
There was a huge population of teens in the 60's and 70's
We rewrote the world's itinerary
A time to help squelch suppression but we couldn't finish the job
Bigotry is too big
We only shone a light on it
Blaming, shaming isn't convicting or convincing years of smallness into the new leadership of fairnessOh yeah it's all over now
And the baton was dropped in the relay
Past stuff is lost on the ignorant supposers and prayers for their me me mine world
Can't believe they've torn out their stitches after a difficult and painful operation
