Kim Ae-Cha's Story (Kim Jae-soo's mother)

Ae-Cha peered out from her vantage point under the tree and caught a glimpse of the tall, good-looking young man engaged in a game of basketball with his friends and teammates.

It was the beginning of spring, classes had just begun, and she was standing in the same place as always, being the creep that she was.

The Lee family consisted of Ae-Cha, her twin sister Lee Ari, and their younger brother Lee Jung. Ae-Cha was the first daughter.

Ae-Cha was born ten minutes earlier than her fraternal twin sister, hence the two of them shared almost no similarities that twins usually did.

Her parents spoiled her twin sister and younger brother beyond belief because they were their favorites. Their parents gave the younger children everything they desired and pampered them extensively.

It made no difference to her at all because, in her eyes, the most important thing in the world was her family.

From her hidden spot under the tree, she watched Choi Min, the young man who had captivated her heart since high school. His confident strides and infectious laughter made her heart flutter. Despite her shy nature, she had always been drawn to him, hoping that one day he would notice her.

She believed that the day she married the man she had loved her entire life would be the happiest of her life, and she thought she was right.

Despite her sister Lee Ari's efforts to break them apart, Ae-Cha and Choi Min stayed together. Ae-Cha chose to forgive Lee Ari after she apologized and gave up on Choi Min. Holding a grudge would only lead to regret, so Ae-Cha decided to let go of any negative feelings towards her sister.

After that, things were going smoothly. A year later, things got even better when she became pregnant. Her once indifferent mother-in-law started caring for her more, and Ae-Cha enjoyed the attention from both her in-laws and her family.

As she was about to indulge in a captivating series, her twin sister Lee Ari dropped by and presented her with some herbal teas prescribed by the family physician. Lee Ari claimed that taking the tea every morning and night was essential for a healthy pregnancy.

With complete trust in her sister and the family physician, she arranged for the personal chef at home to prepare her daily dosage of medication.

At the seven-month mark of her pregnancy, she unexpectedly began to experience labor pains and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named In-soo, a Ger who had a unique cinnabar birthmark in the shape of a flower extending from the left side of his mouth to his ear. It took some time before anyone discovered something was wrong with him.

They first recognized that he was mute when he was fully nine months old. This was due to the fact that some of his senses had not developed, which caused him to be a quiet infant. The family's harmony was broken, and her mother-in-law reverted to her indifferent attitude, which was now even more challenging to deal with.

Ae-Cha's life took a turn for the worse after her son's diagnosis.

Her mother-in-law, who had once showered her with affection, now treated her with cold disdain. The loving family she had once known was gone, replaced by a harsh and unforgiving environment. Ae-Cha struggled to cope, finding solace only in her son, In-soo, who needed her more than ever.

Despite the challenges, Ae-Cha devoted herself to caring for In-soo. She refused to give up on him, determined to provide him with the best life possible. She sought out specialists and therapists, hoping to find a way to help her son communicate and develop his senses.
