CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
"C'mon, Glory. Give me a hint," Clint begs.
"Nope. None. You get no hints." I grin at Hawkeye, seeing the frustration of the unknown burn in his eyes.
"Not even one, little hint?"
"Barton, you really shouldn't ask about your future," Steve chuckles. "You sure you even want to know?"
Clint slowly turns to Steve, glaring. "The unknown drives me nuts."
"Yeah, I can't even plan birthday surprises anymore," Laura laughs. "He loses his mind."
I smile and lean on Pietro's shoulder. The Avengers have decided that we're going to pretend like nothing happened for a couple hours. Just a little time off the get back on the playing field. It's no good making plans if we're all screwed in the head.
"Trust me, Clint," I chuckle. "I will never tell you."
Oh sweet Frigga. The Ultimate's storyline... he can never know. I'll only tell the good stuff, but that...
"Please?"
I smile sadly at him. "Cute faces don't work on me. Sorry."
"Tell me something about me then," Wanda says.
Clint gasps. "Really? She won't tell me anything about me, but you think she will tell you?"
"Um..." I look between Wanda and Vision and shake my head. "Nope. Not going there either." Oh Odin. Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd, the twins.
"What?" Wanda pouts. "You are no fun."
"Okay, okay. Clint, if you meet a girl named Kate Bishop, train her. Just trust me on that."
Clint raises an eyebrow. "Whyyy?"
"She's the next Hawkeye."
"Oh, great. I train my replacement!"
I roll my eyes. "Wanda, don't listen to anything a guy named Erik Lehnserr tells you." I turn to Steve. "Steve, for the love of everything good, don't ever fight with Tony." I turn to Pietro. "In one comic series, you had a thing for your sister."
Pietro turns bright red. "They get wisdom and I get an incest fact?"
"They call it 'twincest' where I'm from-"
Wanda bursts out laughing. "Your comics are terribly wrong!"
"Clearly," Pietro laughs, uncomfortably.
I shrug, smirking. "Don't shoot the messenger."
"What about me?" Thor asks. "What wisdom have you to offer?"
