Holy shit.
The story is finished, and it was the same amount of chapters I said it would be, plus one for the epilogue.
I feel really proud of this story, although, I am a bit curious as to how people react to Izuku being alive. Since I've been reading back my work, it did feel a bit rushed. I'm not sure if the chapter would feel as intense as I wanted it to, but it's too late and I'm not sure how I could've done it right.
I think I managed to close any story lines I had started, like Aizawa wanting a child but not having any due to hero work, and Izuku being back with Rumi. And most importantly, Izuku's life starting. Because, even though he had a son, they had that relationship through Alecto. They wouldn't have become that close if Alecto had chosen to say no when asked to train him. Daichi was the son of Alecto more than Izuku in my view, so I think that Izuku taking charge instead of Alecto is definitely the best decision for him as a character.
I know it might be a bit weird to address them as two separate people, but Alecto/Horu is the manifestation of Izuku's sadness and anger, which is why when Daichi died, it had such a longing affect because Alecto didn't know what love truly meant, and he definitely didn't know how it felt when that love is lost, whereas Izuku has lost quite a lot, but most of that happened during his two year training period before 'What's next?' Where he didn't truly manifest Horu until he became a vigilante.
By the time I am releasing this, I have only posted the 17th chapter so unlike what's next, I have been writing and posting at the same time and it has been weird for me. Similarly to what's next, I have kept multiple chapters in my drafts in case I decided to change something, like the man in the golden hog mask being Den Fugita, and how he was the one that kept showing himself. I originally had the grandfather be the one who would keep showing up and Fugita would just be some random side character but I would like to think it was better this way, by having the grandfather as this mysterious figure that is only mentioned a couple times, and Fugita as a reoccurring antagonist.
There was also some small details that I changed in hopes that I would use it in another story, should the opportunity come. Just small things which I think could connect the stories together a bit better and make them a bit more enjoyable.
By the time I'm writing this, I have about four chapters for the prequel for what's next, along with an epilogue since i got the idea for it and didn't want to forget it. If I choose to release it, it will be labelled as a sequel to this story, simply because there will be details that if you read before trust no one, would reveal Izuku's identity as Alecto. Like Yua, the monk lady who kept the prisoners. There is also some dialogue that I mirrors from Alecto since I thought it could be a thing he learned during the two years training.
I said it would only be around 10-15 chapters in what's next, but after the first couple I think I might be able to get it to a similar length to this story, but I'm only guessing.
It's also been weird writing next story since I'm writing from a twelve year old, almost, instead of the adults in this book. So that change in narrative has been strange.
Now, some might be wondering. Why am I already writing for this story? It's because I have fallen in love with this storyline I've come up with and I enjoy writing about it, and I hope others enjoy reading it. So please, once it comes out, have a read if you've enjoyed the story up till now.
Please leave a comment if your interested but also leave a comment if you would be interested in another type of story.
The ideas for other stories are still the same as I said in What's nexts, the only difference is that I haven't started them yet.
There is also a story idea that I got from
@Dark--Speeder about adapting this story into an original ip, which would mean original characters and a slightly different story, like Alecto since his character would definitely need to be a little bit more different along with how he gets some information. But please leave a comment on what you thinkOnce again, I must say Thank you for sticking by my story, but for now, this is it,
Goodbye.
