novah wasn't having a great day, she got a light headache the night before and then by the time she got in bed she had a fever, she ended up waking up at least 4 times that night due to a blocked nose.
then throughout the day today she had a runny nose and a cough along with her headache, but at least her fever had gone down, her plans of going out for lunch with friends had to be canceled and instead she spent all her time in bed rewatching anne with an e.
it was 6pm when her phone ringed the name "alex 🦆" showing up on the screen
"hello?"
"im outside with food"
"wait what?"
"brought burger king"
"okay im coming"
novah hung up the phone and dragged herself out of bed to open the door for her neighbor. alex and novah had met a year ago just a few weeks after the girl moved in to the apartment complex. he had helped her when a neighbor, who had since moved out, was harassing her for speaking spanish with her mom on the phone. after that novah had baked him some brownies and they had got to know each other.
they bonded over their mexican roots and moving to LA to study college and then later on they also talked about both of theirs streaming careers, ever since then they had become close friends and now they had a tendency of just showing up to the other's apartment if they were bored.
"you look rough" he said once the door opened
"shut up i've been feeling sick since last night and hadn't gotten out of bed till now" the boy walks in dropping the bag of food on the coffee table and sitting in the sofa
"yeah you look sick" she glares at him
"literally shut up before i throw up on you"
"ew please dont"
they sit there eating for a while while he tells her about his plans to go back to mexico to visit his family for a bit the following week, a couple of hours later the boy left and she took a little nap on the couch.
once she woke up she decided to walk up to her computer, not to stream but just to log into the server and talk to some of her new friends for a little while. she was wrapped up in a blanket and siting with her knees to his chest.
the second she logged in she got a couple hellos and a message from foolish asking her to go to his dragon whenever she was free, so she made her way there
"hello" she spoke as she saw the boy's character running up and down the spirals of the dragon he was building
"oh hi" he sounded defeated "listen you built that awesome base of yours with lots of spirals and it goes up and up and up and it looks so beautiful and pretty and perfect and i cant make this stupid ass dragon look okay"
"okay okay" she laughed "calm down please this looks perfect i dont see the problem"
"this part this one right here" he motioned to a part that looked a bit odd "oh and then i have to do the head aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh"
"ok what about moving it like a few blocks back here" she walked to it "like maybe by two or three"
"mmmm okay i can try"
"alright i'll watch from here im just gonna run and get a snack while you do that"
"wait hold up i'll build you a little platform to stand in the middle" he built a little dirt patch for her and she moved there using the sitting emote "perfect"
"okay im back"
"welcome back what snacks did you get?" foolish asked
"i have some pineapple and then some chips for later maybe oh and a gatorade" she replied
