𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 was a big home, as the heads of the households were very well known to everyone. Amelia is a famous fashion designer with storefronts worldwide, and Malachi is a huge movie director who's directed blockbuster films. Although both were very famous and had more money than most could dream of, they didn't let it go to their heads.
They both came from nothing, so they knew how to appreciate the things they had. Sure, they had a big home, but it wasn't a mansion with barely used rooms. No, they had a decent-sized home with enough room for them, their two kids, and the third on the way. And they made sure to raise their kids to appreciate everything they had and to know they had more than most.
Alec loved being at his sister's house. Sure, the house was big, but she and Malachi made sure the house felt like home. They didn't leave it bare and minimal; they had it filled with things like anyone would have their home. The house had a theater room, but it was only used for special occasions, like an early screening of one of Malachi's movies just for the family. Otherwise, the family mostly hung out in their living room. Amelia and Malachi had money but never shoved it in anyone's face.
Like any day, Alec was at his sister's house with JJ and May was with them. It is mainly to make sure Alec tells Amelia that he potentially saw their father in town but also to see the Davis family as she hadn't in a while. Having May over made Susannah happy to have another girl to play with instead of just Alec and JJ. While the little girl loved playing with her uncle and his friend, she just hoped the new baby was a girl so she would have someone to play dolls with.
"I am working this tiara," JJ said with one of Susannah's crowns on, and he posed. "Right?"
