The score is now 3-2 with Team Red leading by one point. Isagi on the other hand seems to have found the perfect plan to succeed. Team White is about to make a comeback.
The sixth game started and Team Red started with the ball. Reo, Chigiri, and Kunigami seem to link their passes together. Barou on the other hand seems to be pissed off. As the ball was with Kunigami, i could see how desperate he was on getting the ball. But with their old strategy, Reo kicked the ball right through Barou's legs and Barou lost the ball again. But as those three were tangled up in their position, Isagi came running in and took the loose ball. It was almost as if Isagi predicted the future, knowing fair well Isagi could see something similar. Chigiri seem to disbelieve Isagi as he came running towards Isagi. But with a calm pass to Nagi, the scores are now even between the two teams.
As the whistle blew, starting the seventh match, Reo seem to be on guard. Instead of passing to Kunigami and repeating their last play, he passed to Chigiri who's now having a one-on-one with Nagi. Chigiri seems to be on guard as well as he knew his weakness and how Nagi could beat him easily, his aura completely changed as well. Chigiri propels the ball forward without stopping it, overcoming his weakness. As he passes Nagi, Barou came out of nowhere for the ball. As Barou slid along the grass, trying to kick the ball away from Chigiri, Chigiri elegantly jumped over Barou's attack. I could see Chigiri evolving. As the score is now 4-3, it is Team Red's match point. But Isagi doesn't seem to be worried in any way. Instead, he was grinning. It seems as if Isagi is enjoying this, but for Barou, it's the complete opposite. He was almost sulking on the ground. But it's not my time to feel bad.
As it was Team White's turn to start with the ball, Barou stole the ball off of his own teammates and started running with it as if he was going to solo this round. But as he kicked a direct shot, it got blocked by the goalkeeper. And now there's a loose ball. But Kunigami got to the ball before anyone else can. When versing with speed, Nagi is more durable as he got to Kunigami but before he could steal the ball, Kunigami has already passed to Reo. But before Reo could reach the ball, Isagi read his movement and is one step ahead of reaching the ball. Reo being Reo, slid along the grass to kick the ball away from Isagi carelessly and the loose ball eventually landed right in front of Barou. It seems as if this was Barou's big chance to make a lead. I could tell by his expression the chance he saw was slowly drifting away as Chigiri caught up to him in a flash. Helplessly, yet surprising everyone, Barou willingly passed to Isagi. With a direct shot from Isagi, the teams are now tied again.
The next play will be the last. The first team that scores a goal is the overall winner. I could tell both teams are anxious. I watched both teams state as they took a small break. I could tell the player in the worst mental state is Barou whose kneeling on the floor in defeat.
Team Red started with the ball for their last match. Reo looked around at his teammates to decide who was best to pass to. I watched as Reo seem to try and dribble past Isagi but quickly stopped and passed the ball to Chigiri. But as soon as Reo kicked the ball, Nagi was running toward the ball instead of chasing after Chigiri. This guy really did pinpoint Reo's movements. Knowing he can't match Chigiri's speed, he tries to interpret the pass. Nagi's only evolving every game. As Nagi kicked the ball in a different direction, the loose ball landed in front of Barou once again. I looked closely at his face, it seems as if he was thinking of who to pass to. He's actually thinking to pass? I watched as his leg cocked back, ready to swing. But he seem to freeze in his swinging position and i saw the aura glow in his eyes. Not his usual aura, but is was radiating black and red. I watched with a frightened expression as he chop feinted, followed by acute-angle dribbling. As he got passed Kunigami, he used consecutive chops to get past Reo. He could've passed to Isagi.. Did he just use Isagi as a decoy? But what lightning dribbles he has.. He's evolving at this point of the match, just when it's about to end. But could his speed and skills get past Chigiri? I ran from the middle of the court near Team White's goal to get a closer look at his moves. My eyes suddenly widened as he hid behind Isagi to disguise his next move. Then out of nowhere, he ran out from behind Isagi and got past Chigiri before he got the chance to even react. They're crazy.. Devouring each other to evolve. No.. Devouring, it must be their chemical reaction!
"Holy hell, dude," Isagi grinned. "Welcome back, king." Nagi followed. This twisted path just got Team White the last point they needed. 5-4, Team White won. I watched as All three of them fell on the ground together, not necessarily smiling.. Perhaps Nagi's embrace was a little too harsh. I saw the three of them bond as a soft smile replaced my face. But that smile didn't last long as i looked over at Team Red. All three of them panted with a shameful expression. I could barely see their faces properly. I then glanced over at Isagi and others as they walked in front of them. Isagi.. Who is perfect for defeating Rin? Who will be helpful to the team to win Bachira back? Who will match your other teammate's physics and fit well with your chemical bonds? It's all up to you now, Isagi.
A/N ¡! Took me so long to write this chap.. especially when im also getting distracted by other stuff.. I have two oral presentations tomorrow and i haven't yet finished when it's nearly my bedtime!! Such good schedule i have.. I'm thinking of publishing a chap every 4 days or every week as this book is close to its end but it's ending as a cliffhanger at the moment since season 1 ended that way.. but i don't want it to end like that, so i'll have to get this book alive till next year when season 2 gets released since im not bothered to read manga and i dont rlly wanna spoil any manga for you viewers. Or should i just leave this book on paused? What would be better? Let's see who'll be perfect for Isagi's team next chap!
