Pt 4

Y/n pov
Miko was walking in the school when I got there, I sighed knowing that I was supposed to walk her there. I ran behind her, "hey!" I said, she turned and smiled, "hey y/n/n!" She said, we walked inside together, and Vince walked up to us. "Oh! Y/n woke up from your nap? Awe I guess women need rest!" He said mockingly his voice higher pitched.
I narrowed my eyes at him, Then rolled them. Miko was making her hand a fist and she glared at him. I took a deep breath, "I did need some sleep." I stated not wanting to get him angry. I walked off and dragged Miko with me so we wouldn't be late for class. Miko was looking at me, "why didn't you let me deck him!?" She asked angrily, I chuckled. "If I let you. He'd also be in a 9 month coma." I stated, Miko chuckled, I winked at her, she then realized what I did and she glared at me and folded her arms, she huffed as we walked into the classroom.
The teacher started teaching and since well time slows down for me, it was longer which in my opinion Was nice but I already knew everything. I smiled as I looked at Vince who was looking like a lost puppy, he had no idea what was going on. I silently chuckled, Miko saw me and I could tell she didn't know why I was chuckling.
School ended, and Miko and I walked out together, "y/n I have a ride. Uh, do you want a ride to your boring work place?" She asked, I rolled my eyes, "no I'm good I got it covered. And my work is not boring!" I said, she chuckled out a, "yeah right,"  and then she ran into the car and jumped into it. I sighed and waited for the car to leave I looked around and I speed to the police station. Joe had said I had a lot of cases to catch up on and being In school didn't really help with that. I got there and I started to
Work on some cases. A lot of unexplainable cases have popped up in the few months that I've been gone.
I sighed, "kid, I've been saying this since you joined as a csi! You need to test out if school, you already know everything!" Joe said from behind me. I started typing on my computer, "I know but then I won't be able to see Miko as much. I only have 2 days off a week." I stated.
Joe chuckled, "detective!" I heard Eddie say, "there was a robbery at a local bank by 205." With that Joe walked off and someone said "weather weird on the west side, bring your rain gear." And I just kept typing trying to find matches for substances and trying to identify fingerprints.
I smiled as I had identified a few of the substances and only one of the fingerprints, I wrote down the information I had and continued. I looked up at the clock and realized that I got to leave in 10 minutes, I got up and cut out a picture of an old newspaper and pulled up the map I had and revealed a poster board of articles of my father killing my mother, his sentence in jail, his plead, and his defense. EVERY. SINGLE. THING.
I stared at it, and I pinned the picture I had onto the board with the string connecting everything. "I will get you out someday." I whispered, and pulled the map over it, I took a deep breath. And walked to my desk and
Started backing up folders and some documents that I could do at home, I also took a usb full of some information that could be useful. And I went on my way.
I put my bag on the hanger as I walked into my house. I sighed and walked over it my couch, Joe had just gotten home, he smiled when he saw me. "You hanging in there,kid?" He asked, I nodded, he smiled. The door once again opened and iris walked in.
"Hey iris." I said, "hey y/n!" She said, woah before any of you get any ideas, I don't like iris
Like that she's like a sister to me. We grew up one hallway down from each other.
She walked up stairs to her room, joe smiled and he went to the kitchen. I got up and grabbed my bag and went up to my room
To continue doing some work to get some crimes solved and get more details.
I opened my computer and plugged the usb
In and started typing some information to a google doc, and figuring out some substances and fingerprints. I was typing faster than the speed of sound, literally!
I was smiling and I wasn't even close to being tired, someone knocked on my door and I stopped typing. "Come in!" I yelled, and Miko busted through the door, "y/n! Are you still working!?" She yelled, I nodded. "We need to get you some more friends. Other than me, Jack and raf." She said, I sighed. "I have other friends!" I stated, thinking of a few from
Star city and some at star labs.
"Mhm." She said not believing me, "how was your time In star city? Did you find what you were looking for?" Miko asked, I chuckled thinking about it. "Yeah. Yeah I did." "Like that boring case?" She asked, I stopped typing and turned around to face her "Well that boring case! Actually had an interesting ending that no one except me expected. Like I had said! The woman was the one that shot her husband!" I said as my face turned to a frown as I saw Miko roll her eyes.
"Look Miko I have a lot if work and school work to do so if you could please leave that would be great." I said Turing back to my computer and pulled out a notebook  from my bag. I heard Miko sigh, "you're gonna work yourself to death! Come on there's a slash monkeys concert tonight!" Miko yelled.
I looked back at Miko and saw her with her bright smile and her eyes full of excitement.
I sighed and closed my computer, "let's go!" I yelled as Miko shouted a cheer and ran out of the room. I smiled at her excitement, I ran after her and passed by Joe who was smiling.
I'm pretty sure he's happy Miko gets me away from my work, to everyone I work too much.
Miko grabbed my hand and ran with me, I looked at our hands intertwined, and I smiled.
