Author's POV:
It was the night before Arpita's baby shower. Revathi was feeding Arpita while she was getting her mehendi done. Yash, Arjun, Nandan, Suhaas, Pranav, Maya, and Sravya are looking after the decorations. They decided to do it on their own to make it special for Arpita.
"Avi, not like this. You are tying them in the wrong way," Maya said, looking at Avinav, who was tying the flowers.
"What? I didn't find anything wrong," Avinav said, scrutinising the garland.
"The flowers must face down. See, you have changed the pattern," Maya said, glaring at him.
"Nothing will happen, Bunny," Avinav said, trying to convince her.
But will that woman of his agree with him? Nah! She wants everything to be perfect for her sister.
"You are just wasting time arguing with her, Anna. She won't agree with you until you do it in accordance with her," said Pranav.
But our Avinav was happy to argue with his bunny so that he could talk with her for some more time, as she had been avoiding him lately. Avinav cursed Pranav in his mind for interrupting them, and he did as she instructed him.
Sravya, Suhaas, and Yash were looking after the decorations at the entrance. Pranav and Arjun are looking after the decorations on the stairs under the supervision of Anjali.
Radha was applying freshly ground henna leaf paste (Gorintaku) to Arpita's hands. She was about to apply it to her legs when Arpita stopped her.
"Don't, Nanamma. I'll ask Maya or Sravya to do it," said Arpita.
"But they are busy, Aru. They are looking after the decorations. Let me apply it," said Radha.
"No means no. You are not going to touch my legs," Arpita said stubbornly.
"Wait, I'll call someone else then," Radha said, looking at her stubborn granddaughter.
"Go and call Siri, Radha. That girl must be around, jumping here and there," said Revathi.
"Okay!" said Radha.
After a few minutes, Siri came towards them and started applying Gorintaku to Arpita's legs.
"It's done, Akka," said Siri.
"Thank you, Siri!" Arpita said, smiling at her.
"No mention, Akka!" Siri said, kissing her cheeks.
"Shall I go? Or do you need something else?" asked Siri.
"Ask your Bava to come if he has finished his work," said Arpita.
"Okay!" said Siri.
Arpita smiled at her and sat there, leaning her head on Revathi's shoulder.
