Chapter 52

Just as we walk out of the front door, to go to the training area, I start to get nervous, wondering how all those vampires will take knowing that Caine could possibles cross.

Harry and Nate run up to us "hey Rose, you ok?" Nate asks coming up to me holing my arms and looking over my body, earning a husky growl from Marcus

I role my eyes and Nate scoffs "yes I'm fine Nate, haven't had to use my bad ass moves on anyone yet" I joke with a nervous laugh

"Must have had a great teacher" Nate says and we both smile

I know even at this time Nate can make me smile

"Come on" Caden says and we all follow him into the woods, Harry keeping very close behind me and Nate next to him.

We come up to an opening where I see a small platform, just above the ground nothing on it just over looking a huge crowd of vampires. All there eyes snap to where we exit out of the woods and my grip on Marcus's arm tightens.

He looks down at me and smiles, he's nervous and worried, I wouldn't even need to be his mate to know that. He walks up on the platform, his authority and power rolling off of him and I can't help but smile proudly up at him. He motions for me to follow, surprised I hurriedly walk up next to him, his arm wraps around my waist and he faces back to the hundred for black eyes, they must be hungry.

Slowly Nate, Jade, Caden, and Harry come up on the platform "hello everybody, as you know my brother is the meaning for you all joining my army and coming to training. He's also the meaning for this meeting, he has called me and told me he is coming" his voice at a normal level but his tone hard, I watch as his face becomes tense and his grip on my waist tightens "as you all know this is my mate Rose and as your lords mate she is just as important, if not more, than me. You will protect and respect her, none of us know how many of his vampires will come and we don't know if he knows about my army but we have to be ready, I want half of you to feed" he instructs, I look out to the crowd and there black eyes are focused on Marcus "spread out through my side of the border, wait till night fall and be full but no killing will be allowed, the other half will stay here and be on border control, then you will switch" he explains

"You heard him, split" Caden says and the whole left side of the field is cleared of vampires, all gone in a flash "I guess that's border control for the rest of you" he says and the rest of the field is cleared just as I blink

I sigh in relief at the thought of all those vampires protecting and watching over the border. Marcus wraps both arms around me and I lay my head on his chest, hugging his large perfect body "ready to go home?" He asks as his chest vibrates against my cheek

"Yes please" I say

He squeezes me one last time and takes my hand in his, leading us off the platform "hey you ok?" Nate asks and I nod with a small smile

I pull my phone out and it's only 10:45 a.m Marcus looks down at me "are you tired?" He asks and I nod

All six of us walk through the dense woods, the loud crunch of dead leaves break the silence. We finally come out of the woods to Marcus's house "I think I should go feed with the rest of the vampires, I haven't fed in a while" Harry says and I turn to him

"Yeah me too, been too busy training my little prodigy" Nate winks at me and I laugh lightly

"Alright, be back soon" Marcus says pulling me to him

"Try not to hurt yourself while I'm gone" Harry says with a small sad grin, I can tell he's trying to joke but I know he's serious

"No promises" I play along but nod telling him I'll try
