Jin took a look around the new room he had been relocated to. He had attempted to argue that he was well enough to go home, but Jungkook had insisted that he remain overnight for observation, which irritated Jin. The doctors did not need to keep an eye on him for anything since he was fine.

What frustrated him the most was that he could hear Jungkook chatting with the doctor, but because of his poor comprehension of English, it was difficult for him to understand what they were talking about, and he didn't like it. He did not trust Jungkook, and when he overheard him in Korean asking for his medical records, it caused him anxiety. Jungkook did not have any rights to his medical history; thus, he needed to have an understanding of the laws that surrounded that matter in the United States.

When he married Jungkook, the agency had cleared him medically, so he didn't understand why he was suddenly trying to learn more about his medical history. It had to be illegal, and he hoped it was.

"How much longer will it take until you get access to his records?" While Jungkook waited impatiently for Namjoon to respond, he crossed his arms over his chest and showed impatience.

After entering a message into his phone, Namjoon turned to Jungkook and said, "Access to the patient's prior medical records can only be granted if explicit consent is obtained from the healthcare provider he routinely consulted with during his time in South Korea.

If the patient does not comply, I will be unable to obtain access to the information. Moreover, if he grants me access, I will carefully examine the provided information to determine the most effective course of treatment for him during his stay. I regret to inform you that I will continue to be unable to disclose the information without his explicit consent. It is my responsibility to guarantee the strict protection of the privacy and confidentiality of all patients' medical records."

When Jungkook heard Namjoon's response, he hissed. "I am his husband; what other permission is necessary?"

"Mr. Jeon, I can see how that could be frustrating, even though you are his spouse. The Privacy Rule, a federal law, grants individuals control over their health information and establishes rules and restrictions regarding who can view and obtain access to it. If you'd like more information, I'd be glad to set up a meeting with the hospital's legal team, who can explain."

"In what manner must Seokjin give his consent? I need to examine his medical records, and until I do, neither he nor I will leave this hospital. Furthermore, I prefer another physician. You are unqualified to be his physician." Jungkook made his statement clear as he glared at Namjoon.

Namjoon rolled his eyes and asked, "Can you please follow the rules for once? Also, it does not matter to me whether you believe I am qualified or not. Seokjin, and not you, is the only one who may request another specialist for his care."

"I am skeptical that his miscarriage was natural. Therefore, either rid me of this suspicion or find me another physician. If I have to make another request, I will withdraw all funding from this hospital!"

"Then pull it! I will not violate the law on your behalf." Namjoon responded with conviction while staring at Jungkook.

When Jungkook's anger grew, his hand tightened into a fist, but as soon as a thought crossed his mind, he released his fist and walked away from Namjoon.

He made his way over to where Seokjin was standing by the window, which gave a view of a nearby lake.

"The doctor requires your consent before seeing your medical records from Korea. Go and give it to him. Also, I should have access to it too."

"I don't believe my medical records from then are relevant to my present circumstance," Jin told Jungkook. "So, I won't be providing access to it. I did some research while standing here and found that under U.S. law, my medical records are confidential information that I am not obligated to disclose to anybody, including you."
