WITH EVERYTHING GOING ON, BONNIE HASN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO TAKE IN THE GOOD IN HER LIFE: SHE'S GAINED AN UNSTOPPABLE CONFIDENCE, AN IRON WILL AND HAS A MAN THAT SHE'S CRAZY ABOUT

Tying up her curls in a ponytail, she sighs at her reflection in the vanity mirror, going over her goals for the day in her head.

1.Visit Elena's house before school

2.Talk to Damon and somehow convince him to give her the device without raising suspicion

3.Formulate a plan to somehow get the Salvatore brothers far enough away from town square during the Founders Day firework show

Easy.

Grabbing her bag off of her bed, she pulls down her rising denim mini skirt that she paired with open toe ankle boots and a cold-shoulder top that reveals most of her back. The weather is finally appropriate for spring, coming up to a whopping 85 degrees.

Taking her medium sized hoops out of a glass jewellery bowl on her dresser, she puts them on as she walks downstairs in a bit of a hurry. Neglecting to even make herself breakfast, she races out the door to her car.

Damon's agenda for the day is well underway.

Smirking to himself, he takes a few things out of the fridge before peeking at the pot on the stove. Turning it off, he conceals the delicious aroma with a lid then quickly leaves the kitchen.

Taking two steps at a time, he heads upstairs to his brother's room. Due to the distant sound of the shower coming from behind the en-suite bathroom door and the the fact that the bedroom door is wide open, he decides to let himself in.

Hearing a familiar ring, he picks up the phone on the pillow of an unmade bed. Turning it over, he reads the caller's ID: Elena.

The convenience makes him immediately answer it.

"Mediocre boyfriend services."

"Damon? Where's Stefan?" An impatient voice demands.

"Easy," He mocks, "Relax, he's in the shower."

"Well, can you tell him to call me back?"

"I'm not your servant." His nose wrinkles in distaste.

"You answered his phone."

"You know," He takes a seat on the end of the bed, "Kindness goes a long way."

"You of all people are not about to lecture me on being kind."

"I am, too," He retorts, "Haven't you heard? I'm a born again moralist."

"Right," The brunette sings over the phone, "I know you found it in your cold black heart to forgive Stefan, but that doesn't make you a good person."

"Can't a man grow?" He pouts.

"I'll believe it when I see it."

"Alright, here it is," He takes a breath and gets it over with, "I'm sorry."

"....what?"

"I apologise for being a dick to you, the whole Vicky situation- I regret it and I'm sorry."

A still silence.

"Still there?"

"Yeah, uh...wow," A huff of disbelief, "What brought this on?"

"I told you, I'm turning a new leaf."

"Um, well...I appreciate it, I guess."

"Please don't make this anymore awkward than it has to be." He runs a hand over his face.
