"Charlie! For the love of everything stop giving the kids real swords!" Thea shouted as she grabbed the metal sharp object from her son.
"I thought it was wooden I swear." He responded.
"No, uncle Charlie remember. You told me to tell mommy you painted it silver for the effect." Thea's son said.
"Harrison, you aren't supposed to tell her what I told you. We went over this man." Charlie said.
"Sorry uncle Charlie." Harrison said and lowered his head. Thea gave Charlie the death glare and Charlie sprung into action.
"It's alright bud, come on let's go play with the real wooden ones. I can teach you some foot work." Charlie said as he walked with Harrison upstairs.
"Dinner is at seven!" Thea shouted as she walked into the kitchen to help the cooks with the meal. Well that's a lie, she actually went in there to find her husband. She smiled when she spotted him throwing some extra seasoning into the pot. "Remember what happened last time you did that." The snuck up behind him.
"It made it better." He defended.
"Everyone was coughing up the first bite." Thea said dragging him out of the kitchen.
"Because they wanted that first taste again." He said, following her to the back garden.
"How is it going out here darling." Thea asked her daughter, Penelope.
"The flowers like my playing. I swear anytime I play a really good melody they get brighter." She smiled holding her flute.
"That's a magical flute then." Ted said.
"It's magical because grandma got it for her. I powered it with love." Charlotte said as she plucked some weeds.
"I'm sure you did." Thea smiled.
"OH, papa I learned how to play one of your songs. Will you listen?"
"Absolutely." Ted said before sitting down next to her.
"I'll see you three at dinner." Thea smiled before she began to wander again. "Kristin, how many times do I have to tell you, you don't need to bring a dish." Thea said once she saw the tinfoil wrapped dessert in Kristins hands.
"And how many times have I told you, I will always bring one." Kristin smiled before hugging the woman.
"Ted, Penny and my mom are in the garden. Charlie and Harrison are upstairs. Minx and Niki are on their way." Thea told the two.

Family dinner was a tradition now more than ever. Of course there were 'family dinners' when Thea was still a princess, but they were always sat so far apart and never even talked. These dinners felt so effortless. Everyone was sat closer together and multiple conversations were flowing and people wanted to be there.
Of course everyone had to leave to go home, even Charlotte got a nice home in the town. It made her feel more at home than staying at a castle her daughter already occupied. Thea had just tucked in Harrison, making sure all of his wooden swords had been put away. She walked towards Penelope's room and overheard the last bit of her bed time story. "And your mom stopped everyone's fighting with her powerful voice. She quickly banished the evil man and the evil stepfather. She ran to me and kissed me."
"Really?"
"Mhm. It felt like everything I could ask for and more."
"I hope the guy I marry is like you papa."
"Trust me Penny you'll find your person. We won't rush you. When you're ready, you'll know. Now, it's time for bed."
"Good night papa. I love you."
"I love you too."
Ted closed the door and walked out into the hallway to see Thea trying to sneak away. He ran up behind her and picked her up, spinning her around. "Ted." She giggled.
"What are you doing my love? Were you eavesdropping?" Ted fake gasped.
"No, I just accidentally overheard the last little bit of your story." She said as she turned around to him.
"Oh I'm sure." He said as he began to sway with her, slowly making their way to their room.
"What's with the swaying? We haven't danced in months."
"I thought we could use it. It's quiet and peaceful, I feel like it's nice for us to have this."
"Ted, honestly, anything with you is nice."
"Now you're just getting sappy on me."
"You make me sappy." She said before he spun her and dipped her into his arms. "You gonna kiss me or just stare at my eyes."
"You never cease to amaze me Theadosia Nivison." He said before kissing her as he stood her up right.
"And I hope I never stop Theodore Nivison." She smiled.
Theadosia and Theodore Nivison got their happy ending. They fought like hell to get it and it was worth every second.
