You feel tired and dizzy, you fully regret going to school even after you woke up feeling stuffed and out of it.

But you really don't have a choice, it's exams right now and if you miss this day, you'd be falling behind and have too many things to catch up to.

You already have things on your plate, you don't want another to be added on the pile.

With a sigh, you continued to walk without any destination in mind. Just somewhere relaxing, somewhere you can be alone.

You were happy that you finally reconciled with your friends and that they understood your reasons very well but there's this lingering feeling that kept nagging you.

Maybe it is your fault for causing this drama anyways and now everything is just the same anymore. Outside your group of friends looks like they've made up but you knew yourself it wasn't the case.

There's this strain between them, a tension you can't comprehend. It's as if you're the only one who doesn't know the silent competition going in.

With that in mind, you felt your head pound more and it made you hiss in pain. Ah, headaches sucks, everything sucks when you're borderline sick.

You stood there for a minute, waiting for the sharp pain on your temple to stop. It's been happening for a few days now and today was totally the worst.

Maybe you really should've gone home instead.

With you still walking and looking at the ground absent-mindedly, you bumped into someone. You raised your head and met a pair of pretty Blue eyes staring back at you.

You recognized him immediately as Alex's cousin Henry. The man Alex annoys as his past-time, the poor man who have to suffer being related to that parasite.

It's so amusing how much two relatives can be so different to each other. One was silent and one was too flirty, one was mysterious and one had his whole life uploaded on social media to see.

The hairstyle is different too if I may say.

You remember him appearing a few times in the novel when Alex would come up to take his screen time. The helpful not-so wingman.

Can he be considered as a male lead? Because if he is then you would surely choose him for Christina.

"Are you alright?" His velvety voice asked, monotone as always but you can hear a tint of worry in tone. Dayum, he's a real male lead material with that face.

You were completely mesmerized by his eyes that you don't have time to answer his question. He's quite tall and he....he smells nice.

You literally forgot you were feeling sick when he appeared.

"L/N?" His voice snapped you out of your stupor and back to reality. It feels weird seeing an almost stoic look-alike of Alex.

"I- I'm fine, just minor headaches." You shrugged him off with a sheepish smile, ending your excuse off with a nervous smile.

He didn't seem to take your alibi when he raised one eyebrow as he stared at you in silence. You sweated under his scrutinizing eyes, you're pretty sure he's seeing through your obvious facade.

Suddenly you felt a gentle hand touch your forehead and you were shocked still at his actions. With his stoic face he told you,

"You're sick, you should rest." He told you before putting his hand away from you and as if sensing something, he turned his eyes to the right.

As if on cue, Alex came stumbling in. He, who saw you, beamed as he came running towards you while waving.

"Y/N-chan Hi!" Alex stopped in front of you with his usual playful smile. Then he saw his cousin beside you, you saw his beam falter.

"And Henry.." Well Alex doesn't seem optimistic seeing his cousin. You feel the tension between the two, right. They don't get along that much even if they're always together.

Did something happen between the two?

"Alex." Alright, welp that's cold. Feeling that you don't want to be there anymore, you tried to sneak away and continue your search for a calming spot around the school.

"Eh? Where are you going Y/N-chan? You're leaving already? I just got here!" Alex said as he noticed you trying to escape. He reached out and held your wrist, stopping you.

'Damnit! I want out!' You felt so uncomfortable with his touch, you wanted to shrug it off so much.

And that's what you did.

You shrugged his hand off, discomfort evident in your face. Alex frowned at your action but said nothing.

"Sorry, I just need to go somewhere so can you let me go?" You told Alex, putting your hands behind you. You don't want him touching you again, something about him makes you feel uneasy.

Maybe it's the way he chases you and appears at almost everywhere you go.

"Then-"

"I'll go with her." Henry cut Alex off, you almost forgot he's there. You felt thankful for his intervention and you sent him a greatful look. He just glanced at you with a subtle nod.

Did he notice your discomfort and decided to help?

Alex scowled before huffing, his eyebrows furrowing as he stared at his cousin. Henry didn't let Alex's glare got to him and stood his ground.

"Besides, she has headaches. I'm sure she doesn't need someone annoying as you worsening it." Henry finished off before walking off, pulling you along the way and away from his silent cousin.

Thankfully Alex seems to get the idea and just stood there, eerily silent. You don't event want to glance back and see his face. Is he frowning? Glaring? You don't know.

"I'm sorry about him, he's really just like that." Once out of earshot from Alex, Henry's calming voice spoke up. He sounds so used to this, how many times did he apologize and clean his cousin's mess?

You followed Henry and you realized that he's walking towards the infirmary. Well he doesn't lie.

"It's alright, you don't have to apologize for him.." You murmured with a resigned sigh. You really did thought Alex would lose interest with you after months but it seems like you underestimated his determination and stubbornness.

You don't know how Playboy can be so persistent and patient when courting a lady but then leave them as if they didn't just spend so many energy and time chasing them.

Something tells you Alex is the same.

If only he isn't a Playboy, he would be a charming person and maybe, maybe you'd end up liking him.

"Condolences." Henry spoke, this time the sympathy evident in his tone as he opened the door for you, letting you enter the infirmary first.

"Huh?" You shot him a confused look. Did any of your family members die? No, you think not.

"For catching Alex's interest." Ah, of course. You really need that.

"Understandable." You smiled at him, to which he only softly returned.

If only Alex is more like his cousin.
