Wednesday's POV:

I've been practicing all week, every day, for an hour maybe more. The Bianca and Divina situation has been put aside for now.

Today's the tournament. I'm ready for it. We are going to win. I sit in my fourth class next to Enid.  Sadly, she won't be able to make it, since the tournament is during school hours.

I'll leave after lunch, so I have now an hour and a half to be with her. I know she'll be rooting for me, when doesn't she?

Me and Bianca got this. We're gonna win this thing.

Enid's POV:

I walk to the quad, Wens next to me. She has the fencing tournament today, she doesn't seem nervous, though. Maybe she isn't, after all. I can't read her, she's impossible to read.

Our pinkies are together until we reach our lunch table, and then we break apart.

"You ready to beat this son of a bitch?" Bianca says out loud once we are seated. Wednesday nods.

"You guys are going to do amazing!" I squeal.

I have full faith in my girlfriend. And Bianca, too.

"Y'all better eat up." Yoko leans onto the table. Then she leans back to stretch and stands up to get food for us.

I turn around to my girlfriend to notice she's a bit paler than usual. "You alright?" I ask.

Wens continued to stare at the table for a few moments longer before turning to me. "Sorry, I was thinking." She says as I notice her face going back to its original color.

"Oh, okay," I say softly.

Yoko comes back with plates and hands us all some. "Let's dig in." She says.

Wednesday's POV:

Enid led me out into the hallway after we finished eating. I have around five minutes before the fencing team gets called to leave.

"I believe in you. You got this, Wens." Enid says, placing her warm hand on my cheek.

I glare at her for a moment before embracing her. We haven't hugged since the night we saved the school. This time, it feels different. It feels... nice.

She pulls away and looks into my eyes. Sometimes, I wonder what she sees in my eyes that I don't.

A second hasn't even passed by before Enid touches her lips to mine. "I love you." She says after pulling away shortly after.

"I love you too," I say back, before touching our foreheads together.

The bell rings and everyone scrambles around in the hallways. "I'll see you later, okay?" She says.

I nod before walking away from her to our dorm. I grab my gear from on top of my bed and continue to walk out of the school.

That's when I heard the announcement.
