⍟ 𝟣𝟫𝟦𝟥, 𝗏𝖺𝗋𝗂𝗈𝗎𝗌 𝖼𝗈𝗎𝗇𝗍𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗌 ⍟

MARTA AND STEVE PLANNED ALL of the attacks on the Hydra facilities. The new couple planned everything out, expecting the missions to go smoothly. They proceeded to brief the rest of the Howling Commandos, a name they decided on calling their squad.

        When the location was optimal, Marta and Thomas would be attacking from above in their jets, while the ground team would be shooting at the agents and using Marta's large array of bombs. Every bomb Marta made was utilized, and she often found herself staying up extremely late in Howard's lab to make more. Of course, Steve kept her company while she worked.

        Marta loved the uniform that Howard had made for her. It wasn't anything special, which was what she liked about it. Marta wore black pants with thigh holsters and a tactical belt. She was also adorned by a grey jacket, fit with a hood and mask to protect her when she set off her bombs. The right arm of her jacket had a small ghost symbol, fitting for her name. She wore tactical boots and almost always had a rifle on her back.

        When she first wore it, Steve told her wished she was better protected, to which she teased him for his red, white and blue uniform. It was all fun and games, because Marta and Steve were together, and teasing each other was part of their love language. To the Howling Commandos (particularly Bucky's) relief, Marta and Steve didn't show an outburst of affection for the other in front of their squad. They led a more private relationship, and both were quite happy to have it that way.

        On the day they left for their first raid, Marta wrote a letter to all of the important people in her life, just in case she didn't make it home. There was one to Peggy, Bucky, Steve, Winnifred, Thomas, Howard, Rebecca and the Commandos. She gave them to Peggy to keep them safe, as a way to ensure that she wouldn't be forgotten by her loved ones. She would end up doing this before every mission. No one knew besides Peggy.

        It had become sort of a tradition for Steve to leave Marta little notes every day, sometimes multiple times a day, hiding them in different places so she would find them naturally. She kept all of them in a book, wanting to hold on to them forever. The day of their first raid, Steve wrote Marta a very short, very sweet note, taped to her hairbrush. 'I love you

        With Captain America and Ghost leading the way through the doors of a Hydra facility, the raiding of the bases had begun. They immediately began shooting at all the Hydra agents, raiding the base before the Howling Commandos rushed out of the building.

        It was Marta who stayed inside, planting her bombs and lighting them up as she dove away from the building, escaping the firey burnup. Sometimes, her jacket caught on fire, causing Morita and Falsworth to practically wrestle her to the ground, and Bucky to ask Howard for a fireproof alternative, which she was quickly given.

        For their second raid, Captain America led the Commandos through a snowy forest in Denmark. Thomas and Marta were circling the top of the treeline in fighter jets, keeping an eye on the team from above. Marta spotted movement in a tree, and before the Hydra agent could get a shot off of on Steve, Marta had shot him, causing him to fall dead from the tree.

        "Thanks, Ghost." Steve said through the radio communication devise, the message reaching Marta.

        "You owe me a drink," Marta teased. In her distraction, Hydra agents began shooting their guns at her, making her jet shake in the sky. "Oh, now we get to have some fun." She muttered, regaining control of her aircraft and shooting back at the Hydra agents with Thomas beside her.

        "Bogey incoming, ground team." Thomas warned as explosions began to ring out along the forest. The Commandos easily retailiated, effectively escaping unharmed and destroying the base they were after.

        They had gone back to London before the next raid in France. Marta and Steve spent one of their evenings in Howard's lab while Marta built more bombs of different varities. Marta drank from a bottle of scotch, knowing the alcohol wouldn't affect her. Steve helped her finish the bottle. She ended up falling asleep on her workstation, causing Steve to bring her to her room, spending the night with her in her bed.

         Marta and Steve saved almost all of their affection for when they were alone, so it didn't surprise Bucky when he checked on his sister to find her in Steve's arms. Her head was on his clothed chest, blonde hair spewed all around the two. Steve's arms wrapped around her waist, gently rubbing her back as they slept.

        Bucky didn't wake them, because he knew his sister was unable to sleep in late, no matter what the circumstances were. Thomas smiled to himself when he saw Marta and Steve leaving her room together, smiling. He liked seeing Marta so happy.
