Alex's POV:
*
It was September now. Summer had been very relaxed. Kianna, Colby, and Em had their respective babies. Jack and Jennifer got hitched in August. Rian and Cass were in Nashville, staying with her. I had gotten offered a job in Baltimore to work with a studio as a producer. Of course, I loved it. Marina was working on a book about her own philosophy of life and how expression can be done through various, uncommon mediums, such as science and mathematics. All was well.
I had just gotten home from my day at work. Marina appeared to be out, since the door was locked and the lights were off. I settled into the couch with a chilled beer and the remote. Fuck yeah, she left the channel on the game. She was such a goddess.
I must admit, our marriage had been nothing short of delightful. She was obviously the dreamiest roomate, best chef, and most amazing lover a man could possibly ask for. She was sunshine all the time, and her laughter warmed all of those around her. I could hardly live up to it.
Suddenly, the door opened with sunshine shining through. She had Sebastian on a leash. She took it off and put it away, along with her running shoes. "Baby! What a pleasant suprise! I wasn't expecting you home for a while." She bent down and kissed me before heading to the kitchen for some water.
"They let me out early since the singer wasn't there." I took a sip. "We worked on some rhythms for previous songs, but nothing new."
"I finished a whole chapter today." She said.
"At this rate you'll have the book done by the end of next week." I laughed.
"Oh, no. Not yet. I'm aiming for November, but it's no rush." She dismissed.
"What else did you do today?" I asked.
"I thought a lot." She started to wander towards me again.
"About what?"
"Well, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about." She became more nervous.
"Am I in trouble? I asked.
"No, no." She laughed, then stood a little meeker. "There's just this, well, silly little thing. I kinda wanna do it. I mean, uh, say no if you think it's a bad idea, it's just, well, it's not the easiest to just say. Okay, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna say it. You, know, maybe it's too soon. Maybe I shouldn't."
"Marina, just spit it out." I said before taking a rather large gulp.
"Alex, I think we should have a baby."
I spit out my beer all over the coffee table.
"Oh, I knew it was a bad idea! Forget I said anything." She turned away.
I sat up. "No, it's a great idea." I stood. "Just a little shocking. Marina, I would love to have a baby. It's amazing timing. This is good for us."
"Do you really mean it?" She asked.
"All the way. Really."
She embraced me and giggled. "This is all really happening. Even Jack is settled down. And now we're starting a cute little family."
I kissed her sweetly. "I love this. I love you."
"I love you, too." She hugged a little tighter.

I pulled into the parking lot of the mall, eager to enter it. The guys and I were going to have a little bro time with the addition of Hazel (Zack's daughter, in case you forgot). She was just about three now, and brilliant at that. She loved soccer and watching football and playing outside. I was never sure that Emily and Zack would raise a tomboy, but Marina always was. Emily wasn't into much girly stuff, like the shows or the makeup. She played soccer as a teenager, almost more than she played the drums.
