Episode 21: One and Only

2005:

"Damn it..." Baji muttered, before passing out.

As he fell to the ground, the First Division's vice-captains ran up to his side.

"Baji, no!" Katsumi gasped.

Chifuyu whipped his head around, furiously glaring at the blonde with glasses. "Kisaki, what the hell did you do to Baji?!"

"You saw everything. I didn't do anything to him at all."

Knowing that arguing wouldn't help anyone at this moment, the blonde kneeled down to the unconscious boy, calling out his name as blood began to rapidly pool around him. "You were stabbed... but when?"

I turned to one of Kisaki's guys. "Hurry up and call an ambulance!"

Chifuyu remained by his friend's side, tearing up. "Kazutora!"

The boy in question sat on his knees, muttering to himself.

I wouldn't be too surprised if he was telling himself that this is also Mikey's fault.

Speaking of the blonde, he wordlessly pulled himself up, etching an angry look onto his features.

This is really bad.

"Kazutora's definitely got some screws loose," Kisaki huffed. "Oh, I get it. He must've brought Baji to Valhalla, so he could finish him off himself. That right, commander?"

Uh, from the way he answered that phone call, I would say that he told Kazutora to do this. But why is he egging on Mikey? Oh shit.

"I wanted to kill you, even back then." My boyfriend growled, as he didn't even bother to make eye contact with the boy who killed his older brother. "Even as soon as you left juvie, I started thinking about killing you. The only one who kept talking me out of it was Baji."

And if Kazutora killed Baji, it would set Mikey off, so he would kill his ex-friend. Kisaki's plot wouldn't be discovered because his puppet is dead, and Toman would be left without a leader. His stunt earlier would put him in a better image for all of the other members. He's after Mikey's position.

As the blonde took a step forward, I grabbed onto his arm, only for him to rip it out of my grasp.

"Mikey..."

"He always said that all you wanted to do was to make me happy, and that's why you couldn't accept the blame, even though you were the one who killed my brother," he continued. "In order for things to make sense to you, you had to make me into the enemy. Isn't that right?"

I watched in horror, as Toman's leader slowly walked towards the ex-convict, his face devoid of any emotion.

"Mikey!" Draken warned.

"You know, Kenny... This fight's already over."

The blonde stopped in between the battle of Draken and Hanma, giving me ample time to catch up to all of them.

"Huh?" Valhalla's leader scoffed. "Woah, woah, woah! What do you mean the fight's over?! Who the hell do you think you are, Mikey?! You must be crazy if you think you can decide shit like that now!"

"Like it or not, someone's called an ambulance, so the police are bound to show up with it," I pointed out.

Taking a step forward, Mikey slammed his boot into the side of Hanma's head, knocking him out cold. "There. Now, it's over."

Realizing that they've gone too far and are no match for the Invincible Mikey, the majority of Valhalla's members ran away, tucking their tails between their legs.
