Elsa

Instantly, I felt myself recoiling as a sharp scrape of a chair interrupted the quiet afternoon, as someone sat beside me. Rolling my eyes, I was tempted to move and stand up, cursing for the courtyard and library to be full save for my table this one time when I was alone.

Sighing, I turned around and offered the person a polite, forced smile. "Hans," I said. "What a pleasant surprise to see you here."

"I could say the same thing to you, Elsa," he said, smiling sardonically, "but I won't. Just to change things up a bit, you know."

The one time Anna decides to ditch me to hang out with Kristoff, I just so happen to be seated next to the most egocentric person in the world.

I let out a loud exhale and sighed again. "Don't you have a mirror to look at or something?" I snapped. "If not, go waste someone else's time because I'm not taking any of it."

Smirking, he cocked his head to the side a little, as if he was studying me. My jaw clenched, glaring and not backing down from his gaze. "Someone's got a little fire today, huh, Ice Queen?" he remarked.

Not bothering to answer him and to bite the bait, I turned my attention back to my work. My shoulders were tense and there was no way of relaxing them until he went away. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath in, I forced myself to swallow my anger and to try to ignore the person sitting beside me as best as I could.

"What do you want, Hans?" I growled. "And save me the sob story and the monologue because I'm not in the mood."

"When are you ever are?"

"Definitely not when you're in the near vicinity."

"Touché, Ice Queen," he said, a hint of respect in his tone. "Well, actually, there's nothing I want from you, for you have nothing valuable to me."

"Well, well, well," I said sarcastically, "that's a genuine surprise."

He scowled and I gave myself a silent victory. Although I was usually more levelheaded with irritating people, the likes of Hans were too insufferable for me to brush the tempting idea off.

"And, might I be so audacious to think what you're going to say next," I added, "if you're going to be bragging about destroying Jack's work, then I suggest you find something else to be proud about, imbecile."

"Why you-" Hans went red in the face.

Standing up, I gathered my stuff and pulled out my phone. My heart leaped for joy when I noticed a text message from Anna. Right on time, sis. "Now if you'll excuse me," I said, "I have better things to do than to babysit."

I watched as a glower crossed Hans' face.

"Oh, and one more thing," I said, flicking my wrist and practically grinning from ear to ear as his hands became encased in a block of ice. He grunted, trying to free them, but no matter how hard he tried, it was no use. "You look a little tense, Hans. Maybe you should cool off."

Smiling widely, I walked away, leaving the ginger-haired jerk to eat my dust, or rather, my ice.
