novah and noah had gotten to the boy's house not even 10 minutes before and were now sitting on his couch talking about the past few days since they hadnt had much time to talk
"but you survived the trip and now you dont have to see them for a while" the boy said as novah finished talking about her trip to mexico
"yeah i guess i did" she smiled lightly "what about you? plans of going to ohio soon?"
"probably not until mother's day" he replied
"ohh say hi to mama foosh for me" novah said
"i'll let her know you say hi next time i talk to her" he nodded "so anything you want to do while you're here?"
"i literally have zero clue about anything there's to do around here" she shrugged
"we can do pretty much anything" he said "we can go out and do something, go get food or stay in and order"
"how about we go to the store because i know for a fact you dont have any food in your kitchen" he raised his eyebrows wanting to defend himself but knowing he couldnt because there was in fact not much in the kitchen "and we get groceries and cook ourselves dinner tonight?"
"but thats so much work" he whined
"you cant live off of chipotle pretty boy" novah said eyebrows raised, the boy smiling at the pet name
"i've been doing it for almost a year now" foolish shrugged
"okay well not tonight" she got up from the sofa "today we cook what are you feeling like eating huh?"
"chipotle" the boy replied jokingly
"noah"
"alright alright i dont know pizza?" he suggested
"homemade pizza sounds good" she nodded "easy enough to not burn down your whole house"
"alright lets go to target" he got up
"i love target!" novah exclaimed
"oh is this going to turn into a three hour trip to target?" noah groaned
"shut up you'll spend time with me in target and you'll enjoy it" novah smacked him in his shoulder
"i always enjoy spending time with you" he said making the girls cheeks turn red

"i still don't understand how you survive without coffee" the boy said as they got their drinks from starbucks and walked into the store
"i hate the aftertaste it leaves, cant get over it" she shrugged sipping her drink
"so what exactly did you get?" he asked
"mango dragonfruit lemonade" she said
"can i try it?"
"sure" he took a sip
"yeah its good but it doesnt beat coffee" he said
"alright whatever coffee addict lets go get ingredients for our pizza" she rolled her eyes "oh wait look at these they are so cute"
"you dont need— what even is this?" he asked picking the object up
"salt and pepper shakers!" she exclaimed putting a pack in the cart they had before walking away
