me: When I first heard Where Can I Go by Lesley Gore, I was going to summer school. The place I went to is actually the transition school I'm in now. It's a place that's only for people with autism and other disabilities. I have some friends there, but I still hate it because no one knows how to socialize and I'm pretty much a social butterfly.
Burt: You have friends at the actual college you go to, huh?
me: Lots of 'em. But at summer school, I get dragged around by job coaches and social workers. They're nice people, but I hate how they have to redirect everything I do. When I got out of the therapy clinic, I was free from all that, but I'm right back to where I left off.
Burt: So we wrote Where Can I Go. Our version was about how awkward and miserable some of Sammy's transition school classmates make her and how she wants out.
me: That might also explain the album cover.
Burt: Any requests?
